Well made but a little smaller than I expected for use in my wood pizza oven.

This is a great little ash rake that I use for my midsize wood-fired oven. I just wish it was about 12-16" longer. That way I could also use it to move coal beds during the process. Is there a middle extension piece that you sell? I'd be interested in that.

Used on charcoal grill. Two pieces works well. Used as one piece for cold ashes. Two pieces for hot coals.

The threads to screw the two parts together was buggered and did not close all the way.Disappointment!

This is perfect for my wood burning insert to move the coals and spread around. Love it

I purchased this item for use in my wood burning stove. The description is accurate but the design flaws render it almost useless. First, the two sections screw together but not in a way that produces a solid connection. Second, the rubber handle slides easily over the end of the handle. The net effect is that the unit has a propensity to become loose, unable to handle even a modest amount of torque. If one holds each end with one's hands and then twists the rake hoe in an effort to tighten things up, the rod simply rotates inside the handle. So I took my old solid metal rake hoe, which had failed after 20 years of service, to a welder. In five minutes and at a cost of $10 I returned home with a truly effective rake hoe.
