Compact size, perfect for camping and backpacking
If you happened to live in a part of the country or world where you can set up a quick camp, pull some firewood together, and start a cowboy type fire, this product is perfect. I love the fact that it folds up to make it even more compact. It is pretty stable when it's expanded. I used it a few times since purchasing, and did not notice any rust or anything. What I did do was put some butter all over it before I used it over an open fire. This helped to char and season the metal so that nothing would stick to it. After use, I wrapped it up in some paper towels coming in through it into my beer canister so that no animals or crawlies would get to it with any residual meat or vegetable odors. I haven't washed mine yet, just because I felt like I didn't need to. It's like a good cast iron pan. You just wipe it with some paper towels, let it sit in the fire a bit to burn off and Char any residual food material, then wrap it in a paper towel, and pack it back in your bag when done with your trip, or camping adventure. For the survivalist type people, this is a great little Grill to have in your get home bag, or bug out bag. I feel like it comes in handy in an emergency if you need to cook something up over an open flame.

Does The Job, & Does it Well!
I was looking for just a plain, small grill grate to use while camping. What intrigued me about the model I purchased (the folding grill) was its ability to be one sized grill (6"x6") and then unfold to become another size (6"x12"). Pros: -Simple and effective design -Overall size -Portability -Versatility -Very sturdy even when unfolded (hinges are welded) Cons: -The storage option it comes with is a cinch-style hemp burlap sack. I understand the aesthetic behind it (Bushcraft etc.) but would have liked to have seen something with a Velcro closure in a ripstop nylon, or even Cordura option. Nothing tactical, but something sturdy to stand up to the elements, and provide more adequate protection. Understanding that the cost would likely increase, depending on where it would go, I would still be on board. With all that being said, I can't justify removing a star from their rating for that. Not a whole lot wrong with this item at all! Works great at what it's intended for, and is currently serving me well! I would certainly recommend this to someone in the market for a lighter, more portable, camp cooking option.

Worth the cash
Came as advertised , nice welding , folding spine area is weaker than I'd prefer but I'd order more of their products

Great grate :-)
Very handy little cooking grate, out it across a couple logs in a keyhole fire, saw a notch into a log and stick one side and let the other dangle over the fire. Folds up for easy storage

Worth the price
Super compact. Made from good material. I've only used once so can't really speak on its durability.

Feather weight pack addition!
This mini grill is sturdy, and hardly no weight at all in my ruck sack. It is the perfect size, compact when folded but expands to a large area when opened. The burlap hemp bag included for storage is also a nice plus. Great addition to my pack.

Small
Very small. Maybe it's my fault for not looking more into it. But I brought this camping for me and my husband to cook over the fire. It held 1 burger patty. Haha.

Good product
I do like the compact design with the fold, I use it over a burner or just straight on the coals of a fire and it works great and is durable enough for the heat of the fire. All and all a good product

Très surpris de la résistance. Elle a passé une nuit sur le feux, est même devenue rouge et ne c’est pas tordue.

Interesting product, the overall desing is compact and sturdy and the folding system is invaluable for backpacking. I like the pouch that came with it too. The only problem is that the welded hinges were made a bit too tight, preventing the grill to lay flat completely to a 180 degree angle when open. This makes it somewhat useless... Unless you want to see your sausages roll around or spill your soup off the pan. Fortunately, this can be arranged by cutting those hinges open and weld them back allowing just a little more space for the grill to fold completely open. However, I would'nt have purchased it if I knew I would have to do this in the first place. I hope this problem will be adressed rapidly.

When I bought this, I didn't realize that there is no stop on the hinge to prevent it from just folding up when you put it down on something. I really don't understand how this was designed to be used, I can't figure out any way to use it where it will stay flat. It wouldn't be that hard for them to have just welded on two little pieces of steel on the hinge part just to stop it from folding shut every time you put it down on something. Overall, I wouldn't buy it again. I can't use it at all so it was just a waste of money as far as I'm concerned. I thought the ability to fold would make it more convenient for backpacking but I was wrong. Go with a flat, non-folding grill instead. You'll thank me in the long run.

Grill would not unfold to lay flat making it unusable. Returning.
