Best rain jacket I’ve ever had. I’m wearing it in TORRENTIAL downpours for 7 hours a day, non-stop, and I’m bone dry. That’s not possible in even the best jackets from Arcteryx or Patagonia. It’s comfortable and easy to move in. The hood is huge which allows you to stay fully zipped up and still able to sling it on. Yet you can tighten it as well. The cuffs are an ingenious design I’ve never seen before that traps out water pouring in while staying comfortable. Quite material unlike gortex. The list goes on and on. 10 stars from me.

Absolutely amazing rain, true rain jacket. It's not a shell, or a wind breaker claiming to be a waterproof jacket. This is a very quality true waterproof jacket. Great hood size and can tuck away under the collar. Draw strings everywhere to get the fit just right, chest pocket and 2 regular pockets, zipper is strong and covered by 2 flaps with strong buttons so water doesn't get through the zipper. Very good and not tight like a turtle neck, neck protection. Fairly light weight as far as oz. But not thin and not a rubber suit. Perfect in between. I sized up (6'3 270lbs) belly and chest are good, little loose which is fine. Arm length and torso length are perfect. IF YOU ARE TALL SIZE UP

Top notch quality. These offer surprisingly effective thermal protection against cold high winds and do not hinder any range of movement whatsoever. Very lightweight yet very durable. These look really sleek too. Your coworkers will be asking you where you found these. These are definitely worth the slightly hefty price tag

Pros. Fits as advertised in size charts, and so far it's kept me dry though I've not been in heavy or extream weather conditions, I have been in light rain with medium wind as well as medium rain with little to no wind and so far it has not let the water in (no added water proofing was done by me its just straight out of the box) now I will say that if you want this to be your main wet weather jacket like my self I would suggest getting something to layer under it for warmth as this is not insulated so during freezing temp you too will be freezing. to circle back to sizing I'm 5,11 and 145lbs not fit just a regular build and got the extra small, my chest is 34 inches and my hips are a 30 and this jacket is by far the best fitting jacket I've had in my adult life with just enough room to get a basic sweater or zip up under for extra warmth on the days/nights that drop in temp (can be seen in pics over a basic sweater in one as well as over both the sweater and waiters in another) Cons. my only hang up is the cuffs being a neoprene (wetsuit like material) that is tight on the wrists (I have nerve damage on the top of my thumb and it can be difficult getting the cuff over without it hurting) it can also be a little difficult if you wear a watch. I'm also just not a fan of the main two pockets design there like cargo pockets but them being straight vertical designs they are not convenient for your hands as well as the tops only have a flap and doesn't actually have anything to secure the pockets closed so I don't want to trust them with anything that needs to stay dry

Love this jacket for comfort , water resistance and look. I had to buy a jacket up 1 size from my normal size to fit properly. Has nice warmth without being too bulky . I have used it in 40-56 degree wet weather with minimal bulk underneath and felt warm and dry . I have not used it in truly cold weather. Has a shiny look on outside ( weather proof ) not just regular material

The jacket holds up, and is 100% waterproof but that inner sleeve that they mention, will get wet if you do anything active. Wish it wasn't there and they just maybe extended the sleeve or maybe a drawstring would've been better. I ride a motorcycle and after HEAVY rain my body was dry, but my wrist was soaking wet, so to me I can't use it to ride anymore. The wrist got wet so it left me feeling cold in the end. It's so close to being the perfect riding rain jacket. I still kept it but only wear it when I am in pedestrian mode. Trying to find something similar that doesn't have that inner sleeve.

Every fisherman should own these. Excellent fit, and function. Great value for the price. It’s Helly Hansen and they did it right with this set. It’s very functional with easy movement. The legs are a little baggy at the bottom but I’m sure it’s the design to clear boots, and the snap button on the bottom helps reign things in. I fish Puget Sound and the coast, usually in crappy weather, rough water, (and for fun, if you believe that, LOL). It’s great to take these off after slinging bait, fish slime, blood, and fish parts, and just hose them off, throw em on a hanger and they dry ff faster than you’d expect. There’s a big price gap between these and commercial grade ones like Grundens and top of the line Hellys. For the money, these cannot be beat and will likely last me a good five years or so with regular Use and care. Good color selection. Versatile. Lightweight. Good price. What more can you ask of these?!?!

I'm very satisfied with this product I'm at building contractor on the Oregon coast and needed something that is workable yet waterproof compared to a heavy duty PVC rain gear where movement is restricted this product moves very well and is waterproof I especially like the neoprene cuffs and the waterproof pocket for the cell phone or whatever else you need to keep dry all in all I'll probably be buying more of this rain gear to have a backup set I highly recommend this product great company.

🔎 The Helly Hansen Workwear Unisex Gale Jacket is a true workhorse of a jacket. Comes in a simple plastic bag, nicely folded, with some tags and care instructions. 🧡 I love the quality of this jacket, it is a great fit for me( I bought size S, and I am 171cm tall with a weight of around 71kg ). The fit - I would describe it as "well fitted, snug", but not too tight. I absolutely love the neoprene cuffs... they 100% prevent any water from going inside the sleeve, and keep the warmth inside! The chest pocket( next to the zipper ) is great for keys, mobile phones, or important documents. The two pockets at the front bottom of the jacket are also great and with a soft lining inside. The hood is big enough to accommodate ear defenders and has an adjustment on each side. The front mouth guard is very useful( the jacket offers great protection in heavy rain. The jacket is made out of good quality, robust material. Does not absorb water so easy to keep clean, and dries fast. And the most important part - this jacket is 100% waterproof ! No matter how heavy rain you have to combat, it will keep you dry. 👎 I would love to have a slightly bigger hood. It would be great to have a "volume reducer" - an additional third elastic cord adjustable from the back of the hood, to prevent the hood from obstructing your view, when needed. Due to the fabric used, it is not breathable, so not good for heavy work, as you will sweat inside a lot. ⏳ I've been using it for some time now and it's the best waterproof jacket for work purposes I have ever had. Bought mainly for using a professional Karcher cleaner, but also for gardening work. 💡 I've paired it with a matching Helly Hansen Gala bib pants to have a fully waterproof set for work.
