Not sure about different colours available but mine toned down over time. You’re doing a patch so may be hard matching shades. Only my opinion but it’s paint designed for bath and shower trays so toning it down with other products may effect it’s durability, just my opinion though. Good luck.

I am sorry I have never used it on wood, only on a shower tray and side panel that was plastic or fibber glass.
