Dunlop Trailmax Mission Front Tire (110/80-19)

Great tire for light offroad. Fabulous wet weather traction. Amazing price

I'm surprised by both the on and offroad performance of this tire. Not the best in sand or deep mud, but really good every where else. Best of all, not noisy on the highway!

I ran this front tire 12,313 miles on a Super Tenere. Nearly all hiway and backroads, a few hundred miles of gravel. I liked it on all surfaces in all weather at all temps. I don't like the rear Trailmax at all on cold wet paved, but this is my go to front. Replaced with same.

In April 2025, I ordered two front tires (two different sizes for two different motorcycles) and received them quickly. One of the tires has a "0424" date code and the other "0523". I was a little disappointed to see the date code for a tire manufactured a year ago, but I can let that go. However, I wish I would have known in advance that I would receive a tire that was manufactured 2 years ago. With 5-6 years generally being the life of a tire before it ages out, I effectively received a tire with only 60% of its life remaining. It would have been nice to know that in advance and before I paid full price for it. Disappointing. When you buy a product as new, you expect it to enjoy the full life of the product.

This tire will hold a line in any condition. Works well on gravel, pavement and rutted hardpack. It handles water like dry pavement. I can't reccommend this tire enough. The only downside of this tire is it does have a slight audible hum while riding at highway speed.

I tried to install these tires on the rims but I could not stretch the rubber enough. I ended up paying a dealer to install and they even commented on how stiff they were. These are bias ply with deep grooves. My initial ride felt uncontrolled and the tire pattern sounds like M/T tires on trucks. I picked these from reading how long lasting they are. I would have traded that for a radial tire.
