Necessary when using a tablet mount and your RC-N1 controller
This cable fits. perfectly with the controller and the iPad mini or full size pad held in my 3rd party mount. I've had zero issues with connectivity between my pad and the controller.

works with caveat
I have used this with my tablet and mini 2 and have had no problem till yesterday. The cord had worked fine with no problems in the fall but after getting ou today it failed to work.....finally I was able to see that contrary to how a usb-c cord is supposed to work this cord only works in one direction. The cord after close inspection has a little symbol representing the controller and that needs to be plugged in at the controller...duh. After looking up on the internet and seeing that usb-c cords should be bi-directional I dont know why they made this cord differently.......but it does work when plugged in by the symbol on the top of the plug.

Ordered two of these, but neither would connect the controller my phone. Useless at this point. 21 JAN 23 Uodate-Fault of my own: It works perfect. I'm the idiot and didn't read the labels on the cables! Would definitely recommend for any DJI remote.

Do not buy!
What a POS! Worked for about an hour total, then went out while I was in mid flight causing me to loose my drone since I lost all connection to my tablet. By the time I figured out it was the cable the drone was gone. I will not go cheap on one of these again. It wasn't even that cheap...

Works with DJI mini 2 and Samsung Android Phone
I tried 2 cables that did not work before I got this one to mount my Android Samsung Phone on my DJI controller, I bought the mini 2 used and it did not have a USB-C cable. This cable has one end marked for the controller, why the cables are directional I do not know, but the cable works great.
