Great price and company to buy from!
I put these with my Yamaha system with Bose in front and made boxes for these 5" speakers for the bottom front for that really crisp vocal pop. I'm a happy camper, they work so well like this. No distortion at high volume and I run hard metal through them. Perfect fit, great value for the price. I look forward to working on my next project, ill be back..

Good midrange driver
I bought it for the following reasons: affordable price, paper cone, sealed back, with a pretty impressive 100W RMS power and no grid on the front side unlike a Goldwood GM-65/8 I bought to replace my old 3 way "Radiotechnika S90" speaker's midrange driver 15GD-11A (made in USSR) result excellent replacement! There is no reason to compare, they are different classes: Pyle Pro PDMR5-5" is a well done midrange driver with great sound quality; 15GD-11A is single piece of metal, paper and rubber with sound like a phone handset. So I'm very pleased with my purchase. Now I'll get rid of my "Raduotehnika S90" and will build my own 3-wey speaker cabinet, definitely it will be with Pyle Pro PDMR5-5" *** (3 month later) I already done speaker cabinet and the result you can see on the customer images. I use crossover 2-nd order with slope 12 dB/octave. Crossover frequency points: 750 Hz and 5 Khz. (bandwidth could be slightly wider, but I left a some margin) Frequency response is almost linear and balanced as far as I can hear (opposed my previous driver, which had terrible resonance overtone at 4,5 khz.) Sensitivity 92dB is more than enough for most of cases. I think this product has a good price/quality ratio and I would recomend it for most of buyers. sorry for my bad English

Used for my surround sound from some vintage speaker cabinets!!
My 1972 Advent speakers cones were rotted away so I purchased these and when I tell you these were the perfect one for these vintage boxes you would have to be here to hear them!! They sound so good!! I had to purchase two more to use as midrange speakers for my Fisher 1976 cabinets!! These speakers uses a 15 inch woofer with these as a midrange and horn tweeters and the original Fisher crossover from that era!! Again..you would have to be here to hear them!!

Spend a little more and get a decent mid range speaker , Stay far away
I know this is a cheap mid range sub.. but I didn't realize it was this cheap !!! The sound quality is garbage. It moves no air at all whatever the cone, rubber. coil are made of they don't move at all. You can watch a good woofer flex and inhale and exhale with the bass.. Not this speaker, no air movement or anything , and sound Quality is garbage. People saying this thing sounds great haven't had a good pair of speakers yet obviously. Cheap as hell... you get what you pay for with this mid range.

These things are great.
Using as pure mid-range. Brings the proper snap to snare drum, very clean guitar quality, vocals lose no distinction. Save yer money. These cover a lot of ground, heavy magnets. For fun, I now have 4.

On the fence
I’m SUPER impressed with these. They don’t extend low enough to replace a 6.5 or 8 inch loudspeaker but when used in conjunction with coaxial speakers these are amazing. This speaker is stupid loud for a little 5” speaker. I’m using it for my Bluetooth shop system I designed. My only gripe is the frequency range kind of sucks, it’s super narrow. Update: as it’s breaking in, I’m noticing a significant amount of distortion. I have a high pass filter on this speaker so it’s not receiving Signal below its frequency range. It’s not the input signal either as there’s no measurable distortion when viewing the waveform on an o-scope.

Good value for the price
I use it as a mid-range speaker, and the quality of the sound is very good according to my ears. It has some weight to it and appears to be well-made and good quality.

these speakers were used as replacements in my old enclosures and actually sound better than the originals

Good value for money. It has a basic SPL of 92dB but also a small region from 3 to 4.7 KHz where the SPL reaches 110dB

Sound quality is great. Nice mid range response connected thru HiFi crossover and Lpad. There was a small problem with one of the wire connections on the speaker. Tried to bend one plug to fit in the speaker opening and it separated from the mount on the speaker. Epoxy fixed that. Did both plugs on the pair to make sure. Enlarged opening to accommodate plugs on side of speakers.

Qualità veramente bassa, occhio anche al reso. Sconsigliato
