Best device for the gym
May 2022, 6 months review: Excellent alternative to a cell. I have my own, un-interrupted music. If I crush it, I'm not out much. Sound quality will greatly depend on the headphones. I use JBL 510BT (very light, good sound, inexpensive). Good enough to block out gym music and noise. I had 2 other AGPTEK BT mp3 before this that lasted me a while. ***Update: 7/17/22 After 7 months of gym use, I'd probably rate 4.5 stars. The battery last a while, maybe 3 workouts. I like that it shuts itself off automatically if I forget. I clip this Mp3 player on my pocket. Its easy to forget its even there. In my home gym, I run it right into my old school stereo system (3.5 mm to RCA). Nov 2022, near 1 year review: Still holding up and working properly. Considering buying more as Christmas gifts. Battery life is still great, haven't ran out of juice yet. Internal storage is more than enough for me. Maybe 4.7 stars. August 31, 2025: Still going. Use in gym. Sessions can easily go 2 hours when cardio is added. I check battery life after 2 workouts. The battery can charge from 💀 dead in 20 minutes to make it through a workout. MP3 is the best option because there’s no distractions I’ve used this brand before and it last a while. Since this model is still going after 4 years and battery is strong, I have it 5 stars ⭐️.

Decent replacement for the SanDisk Clip Sport Plus
I am a long-time user of the SanDisk Clip Sport Plus. Unfortunately it has been discontinued. I have had to replace my SanDisk because the clip broke and the trim was falling off. The device still worked fine, but just annoyed me to hold. So I figured I would try out this replacement. After using it for a couple of weeks, I think I would still prefer the SanDisk, but this is pretty good. I use this device solely for listening to downloaded podcasts, so I have no opinion for its music interface or fidelity. Pros: - 32GB instead of 16GB for the SanDisk - Sliding on/off switch - I like this better than having to hold down the button for 3 seconds. - USB-C adapter instead of USB-Mini Cons: - The display area is narrow, so the longer podcast descriptions can be a little tough to decipher sometime. Also he font is kind of small and the brightness is low, so it can be tough to read while driving a car. I think it's only 12 characters wide. - There is no dedicated menu for "podcasts", so you have to go to Music>Albums to find podcasts sorted alphabetically - If I leave a partially listened-to podcast, the device doesn't automatically remember where I left off. But it does have an ability to place a "bookmark" for where you were - you just need to remember to do it. - If I pause a podcast, it seems to turn the device off after about 30 seconds. The option to Auto Power Off at different intervals doesn't seem to work.

Great Sound - Repeat Purchase
This is my second purchase of an AGPTEK MP3 Player and I am not disappointed. My first one still works but the battery is starting to require more charging, usually a sign that it is nearing the end of life. I have heavily used the first one for at least 4 years and most likely longer uniquely to play MP3 music while exercising, biking or traveling. It's compact, simple to operate, generates great sound and connects easily to any blue tooth device. And importantly it's not expensive. Granted I've done the setup previously but I honestly believe anyone with a little patience and the willingness to review the small manual should be able to have this up and running quickly. The volume control (Up/Down) is on the right side clearly marked with up or down arrows and doesn't require any more than hitting those buttons to set the preferred volume. There is a single return or back button that may indeed require to be hit multiple times if you have navigated to several levels of a sub menu but it's really intuitive. It isn't perfect and probably not for everyone. I can't vouch for all of the additional "features" that have been implemented. Personally I can't even imagine loading up a small device like this with photos or videos that would require a magnifying glass to see but if that's your thing then go for it. But I can say that for the price this little item generates excellent convenient sound and my experience leads me to believe it's solidly made.

Bad hardware, song sorting issues
This unit was fairly comparable to the dozens of other similar devices available on Amazon. As far as features and general functionality for the most part it ranks well, probably in the top 50% of the alternatives. It also has an attractive physical build quality that on the surface seems much more polished than many others in the price range. Also, at 32 GB, it gives a generous amount of storage without having to use another external micro SD card. Unfortunately, the unit has some fatal flaws which make it score at the very bottom of the pack. 1) Most critically it has a faulty hardware design. Perhaps I just got a bad unit, but I find this unlikely - especially because AGPTek support would not discuss the failings with me. During my testing of this with similar units I was copying a fair amount of music to and from the internal storage. Out of all the devices I tested with (all with the same cable) this device consistently dropped the USB connection to my PC. While transferring between 5-10 GB of music I had to constantly replug the device and restart the transfer. On several occasions, after dropping connection I got a disk error after plugging it back into my PC. I reformatted the internal card and reset to factory settings, but the same thing continued to happen 3 or 4 more times. 2) Sorting issues. While not as critical as the design flaw with the faulty memory/interface, it is certainly an annoyance. All other players will properly sort when in "Music" mode: 01, 02, 03,...10,11,12,etc. This is true even of some of AGPTek's other models. However this model will sort like so: 01,10,02,20,03,04,05,....11,12,etc.. Again, AGPTek refuses to acknowledge this and in general I found their support much worse than the alternatives (and that isn't saying much because all of these Chinese based companies have very poor support, but AGPTek was particularly bad). 3) Scroll speeds: Whether is is scrolling through a list of songs, or allowing the text of a song/album/artist name to scroll across the screen, this unit scrolls at half the speed of some of the competition. This can be an annoyance as it can take up to a minute to allow the device to scroll through the info of a song which has a long album/artist/song name. There is no reason that the scroll speed couldn't be sped up 50-100% and still be perfectly readable. Were they to fix their hardware issues, and the sorting problem (and preferably the scroll speeds), I wouldn't have a problem recommending this as one of the best options in the $30 range. As it stands though, I can't recommend this to anyone.

Wow, Yes, finally
So, I've had a couple AGPTEK Mp3 players. These days I use them when I'm mowing the lawn and don't want to use my phone. The first one that I had for years wasn't bluetooth so my earbuds were always getting tugged out by the cable. I bought another one recently and it was great too, but it had touch screen controls meaning I had to look at it to change the song. I also tried another brand, but it didn't get near loud enough to overcome the mower noise. This one is great, "clicky" buttons that I can adjust without looking at it, plenty loud too. Now, if you are into playlists and stuff, I can't comment on that. I just load my SD card up with a bunch of songs and have them play randomly. This unit is nice and small, I like the clip idea and it seems to meet all my needs so far.

READ MY WARNING (otherwise it's a good MP3 player)
WARNING!!! Check your device for VirTool:win32/injector.EG in the files. It is a trojan/malware, DO NOT execute the file on your computer (its a .exe file). Simply delete this entire folder (a .rar folder), and you will be fine (I delete every file any media player comes with, and happened to notice this on my player). It does not affect the functionality of the device. One star off for that dirty little 'gift' to an unsuspecting user. Otherwise, it's an awesome little replacement for the Sandisk Sports Clip, since those are basically coveted. I have 4 working Sandisk's, but they are getting up there in age and it's only a matter of time. Wanted the time to test a few different makers before I need to heavily rely on them come spring. Had no issues connecting it to my Plugphones and Skullcandy SKDY Ounce. Sound quality is good at the full range of my Bluetooth devices. A little clunky on the menus, but given that I have had it for a day, that simply takes getting used to. It's still a pretty intuitive interface. I believe it will be a decent, long lasting MP3 player based on construction, although the clip will likely break quickly with me (all my MP3 player clips break so I expect that). I will likely edit my review once I get a good idea of battery life wired and bluetooth, and can determine its work sturdiness (I am a long distance cyclist and a metalworker). Edit Update: Battery life is very good. I get 2 full work days of battery life easy. Bluetooth range is better than my Sandisks on a bicycle as I can store it in my bags, instead of keeping it on me. Charges fast. It is about as waterproof as my standard Sandisks, light rain doesn't bother it. I will buy more of these in the future.

It holds a lot.
I've only used it a few days but so far it seems to be working good. It took a bit for the shuffle to do more than 10 songs but it's working good now.

Great Quality, Long Battery Life, Convenient Clip, Easy to Operate While Not Looking At Display
This is my second AGPTEK mp3 player. The clip eventually broke on my first one (model A50S) after 2 or 3 years of heavy use. This model is almost identical to my first one. It's a little bigger and has noticeably longer battery life. Also, the control layout is slightly different. I really like this little audio player. It has many nice features. In addition to having lots of onboard storage, it has a built-in FM radio that you can record from, Bluetooth, a micro SD card slot for even more storage capacity, a photo viewer, and even the ability to play video. I use it alot around the house and when I'm riding my bike. I also like the "Resume" feature, that takes you back where you were listening last, after you charge it, or load more audio tracks. This feature won't work, however, if you accidently advance to another track. A feature that I think would be really nice, would be the ability to undue the last 1 or 2 button pushes, because, as an example, I will be listening to a podcast which is 1 or 2 hours in length. I may want to pause the audio, or rewind 10 to 20 seconds. I frequently press the wrong area or press the right area, but I don't hold the button long enough, and all of a sudden I'm listening to the next track. Then, I need to get back to the previous track, and depending where I was in that 1 to 2 hour track, I may need to hold down the Fast Forward button continously for a minute or more, to get back where I was in the podcast. This is very annoying and inconvenient. I tried to listen to this player using my car's Bluetooth, and the sound would drop out whenever I tried to adjust the volume. Pairing it to my car was difficult, and at times, it wouldn't pair at all. On the other hand, I tried listening to music on my 10 year old smart phone, using Bluetooth with the same car, and it worked flawlessly. This new model also takes longer to boot up, and become ready to play, than my old AGPTEK mp3 player for some reason. I would have thought this model would have booted up faster. In spite of my complaints, I think this is a really nice little digital audio player. I'm glad that I bought it.

Bad music, bad controller - waste of money
Sound quality is very bad and even less than cheap FM radio. Controller don't work at first click. Its a waste of money. I would suggest don't run after their Bluetooth feature and buy this junk. Rather buy SanDisk or sony mp3 player if you want to save your ears

Excelente producto

Great mp3 player
Awesome! Its a good size, has a clip and lots of functions, great for exercising like running etc. it's very sunny here so sometimes I can't see the screen and the timer stops if you exit the timer but other than that, it is very good, very happy.

Mini, convenient, versatile, cheap, loud, long-lasting MP3 player
This unit has variable speed settings. You can increase playback speed in several increments, up to about 1.5X. This is invaluable for audiobooks. It plays converted, large audio files perfectly, with a handy bookmark feature. I owned the predecessor model to this unit and it served pretty well for about 2 years. They seem to be disposable in this fashion, but for the price, that's fine with me. These are excellent little MP3 players - tiny and discrete and convenient - a big difference from your cell phone. This unit improves upon its predecessor in every way: less clunky buttons prevent accidental playback mishaps. The screen is a little bigger and the menus are more comprehensive. Battery life is quite good - several hours non-stop & loud, with only 1.5 hrs to charge. 32GB is fantastic, and you have the card slot if for some reason you need more space. The unit is compatible with the cable from the old unit. How convenient. Volume is great, esp with after-market ear-buds. This new unit is far more water-resistant and it posts a "do not disconnect" message when connected to your computer. This is handy because it is best to use the "eject media" tray app before you disconnect it, to prevent possible file errors. For the price, this is the best MP3 player I've seen, and I've been using them since they were invented. Connect it to your comp with the included USB cable and simply drag & drop your files. This unit transfers files much faster than their older models. Always use the onboard memory instead of the memcard for faster data access. The unit has blutooth and photos and other features, but they are pretty much irrelevant to me. I use it as a mini, convenient, versatile, cheap, loud, long-lasting MP3 player for training and driving and cooking, etc, and it is just great to this extent.

Fantastic music player
This is a great little MP3 Player!! Battery life is amazing - I've played it for hours and it's barely made a dent in the power. It's easy to transfer songs from my computer to the MP3 Player. You can also add songs to playlists. I have added over 600 songs to this player, and have plenty space left in the internal 32GB memory to add hundreds more. I won't need to add a micro SD card. I haven't used the other features such as the pedometer and FM radio yet, but I have connected it to my car stereo via Bluetooth, which works really well. There is a clip on the back so you can clip it to your clothes or the provided arm strap. I really like this MP3 Player and would recommend it.
