We purchased this light to set the mood for our Halloween decorations and it was great. It highlighted the display really well in the corner of our porch.

I ended up with three. The pic you see here is of a screen-printing exposure unit that far outclasses ANY 40-watt fluorescent daylight unit and matches or exceeds the performance of a black light fluorescent unit that you could buy or make. I know this because of being around the trade for 40 years, comparing notes with others, and experimenting with exposure calculators and actual stencils created for production. There is no doubt that you can buy one that is quicker and has more bells and whistles, but for the cost of this baby, I don't think the bang for the buck can be beaten. Costs: 80.00 for the glass, 36.00 for the plywood. 0 for the structural wood because it was scrap and later, I added radiant barrier insulation foil side up for reflectivity that was also left over from a previous project. It's debatable as to whether that even matters, but it sure looks cool. The timer was also brought out of mothballs, but one can be had for 25.00-30.00. So, it's reasonable to say that for around 150.00, you can put together a nice unit that will render halftones and produce exposures on par with much more expensive units. Emulsion choice matters, so experiment. Most emulsions, such as dual-cure pre-sensitized, or diazo type require 395nm to 405nm UVA which is spot on what these lamps produce. Long-term durability is not known.

This product came highly recommended by a FB group I follow and it was well worth dollars spent It made all my fluorescent decorations pop & extremely satisfied. I will buy another next year

For a UV light, this thing is *bright*!! I haven't tried to see how large of a room it will work in, but it lights up a 14'x17' room easily. One drawback--one of the bracket knobs is missing. I can replace it but it would be nice to not have to take care of this on my own.

Works as advertised and lights up my Halloween decorations perfectly.

For the price , I could buy a UV light from the mall..I thought it would be really bright(bought the bigger one), but no..sadly it's less luminous than a mall bought UV light from hipster place.
