Works great. I assume it was easy to install but I didn’t install it. I debated the button on top and ultimately went for the extra security. It’s super easy to press and lift so glad I opted for the button as well.

This type of latch came recommended to me by my fence company. I bought this latch to use on my fence gate that leads straight on to my pool patio. My fence is only 4 feet tall due to neighborhood regulations. It was super simple to install, even a woman that has zero home improvement skills can install with ease! There is an “extra” safety feature that took me a few times to realize - you cannot have any force pushing or pulling on the gate when you pull up on the lever or it will not release therefore won’t allow the gate to open. So whether the latch is placed on the inside or outside of the gate, there’s no opening a fence gate for a small child, in my opinion. Anyone with small children and a pool needs this latch! Older kids might be able to figure it out eventually, but small kids (that can even reach the latch to pull it up) most likely won’t realize not to push or pull on the gate while trying to pull up on the latch to release it. This latch also comes with a key lock with 2 keys. Highly recommend latch for families with small kids and definitely anyone with a pool!
