I eliminated caffeine from my diet and I’ve been searching high and low for a clean decaf that tastes good. As a coffee lover, I can happily say I am thrilled with Kion decaf! The flavor is rich and tasty and I can rest assured it doesn’t contain any of the chemicals normal decaf does and that it’s been thoroughly tested for mold and other toxins. It’s the reason I can’t wait to get out of bed in the morning! Thanks, Kion!

Quality coffee

I drink it as part of a mix of decafs brewed in my Yama Glass 8 Cup Stovetop Siphon Coffee Maker: Mayorga organic Decaf Dark Roast Coffee (whole coffee beans), Sprouts organic decaf medium roast coffee (whole beans), Sprouts organic decaf French/Dark Roast (whole beans), and Kion organic decaf medium roast (whole beans). It's a great mix for my taste and aroma preferences. I concluded that it's currently impossible to find the perfect organic decaf in the sense of aromatic strength. In my blend, Kion plays the 'first violin' in the quartet of the flavors. Excellent freshness! That's why it's my fourth purchase (two of them were made in April 2024). I'm a returning customer.

A friend recommended this saying there's no mold because it's grown in sunny areas. Anyway, I love the taste. Very fresh!

I purchased this coffee for the quality and testing that are behind it. It’s not that easy to find clean decaf. I was shocked on first taste at how delicious it is! This immediately became one of my favorite blends! I am absolutely going to try the regular coffee now that I have fallen in love with the decaf.

Bought on the recommendation of an online reviewer, but was disappointed with the lack of taste. It might work OK drinking black, but as a latte I tasted more milk than anything. However, it tasted as little better than Purity Calm, which was another recommendation by this same reviewer. I won't be buying either again

These beans have a good and strong, deep aroma but are more astringent smelling than some smoother roasts. Brewed, they taste bitter for a medium roast but still retain a bit of sourness that's characteristic of a lighter roast. Overall, they look and taste more like a dark roast except for a slight sourness. They arrived very fresh, not like the bag had been sitting around in a warehouse. The beans have medium oiliness. If you brew 14 grams of beans using an espresso machine, you'll get about 25 double shot (2-3 ounce) servings out of a bag. But that's for strong espresso. You can get more servings if you prefer a weaker brew. My only quandary is whether these are decaffeinated using Swiss water process or by solvent extraction. It's not declared on the bag and that's a rather important step in processing.
