Fortinet FortiAP 431F | 4x4 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Indoor Wireless AP: Tri-Radio, Internal Antenna, 1 x 2.5 GE & 1 x GE RJ45 Ports (FAP-431F-A)

My home setup has 2 40F firewalls in active/passive cluster. Adding the 431F was super easy. Plug into POE port on switch. Wait until firewall posts notification of a new unit needing authorization. Go to WIFI Controller panel and authorize. I actually have 2 of these - 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. First one was a little more work, since I had to clone and edit the 431F profile, but still dead easy. I really like the single pane of glass aspect!

I can only push max 100mbit on my wifi connection.

i have a couple of the old AC access points from Fortinet, this one outperforms them by 4x. Not to mention the UTM capabilities.

Received promptly. New box and installed already. Working great.

Despite a review stating bad performance - I can tell you I've been using this AP for 3 years now and it's been excellent. It's connected to a Fortigate 60F and the combo has been great this entire time. This is not a consumer grade device, but when connected to a Fortigate it isn't difficult to setup and configure. I used to run in conjunction with a Fgt-40F, but wanted more LAN port for various VLANs & SSIDs. Only thing to be careful of is when downloading Firmware from Fortinet, be sure to download the correct one for the 431F you have.

Worked closely with my IT consultant to ensure we purchased a solution that would meet the HIPAA requirements for healthcare providers without compromising speed and compatibility. Very pleased with the Fortinet solution that included the FortiAP 433F. Highly recommend.
