~~ Honey Hush - Talk About a MUST HAVE ~~
I saw this on QVC and thought it was a neat idea. So I mulled over it for a couple of weeks.I decided to order it from Amazon - something about the free shipping and cheaper price that won me over. hahahahahaIt was on backorder at the time and I was surprised when it just showed up one day.We love it. My hubby, who is always skeptical about my gadget purchases, was surprised when he used it. He thinks it's a neat idea - and the fact that it organizes everything by category on your list automatically is simply GENIUS!!!Press the button say the item you need to add - it shows up - select it from a list of options and it adds it to the list. When you are ready to go shopping simply press print - and it prints out the list. Easy as that.....No more sitting at the table trying to remember what you need - just add the items to the list as you can think of them. The list stays until you delete it.Plus it even lists errands - another added bonus. Need to run to the bank, atm, cleaners, lawyer's office...Another plus - is that you can add your own items, or errands, if they aren't listed. If you have problems with it recognizing your voice or speech - you can TEACH IT to understand your diction. Talk about a HOT MESS!!1As you can tell - I LOVE THIS THING!! Best gadget I have ever bought!!Try it - you won't be disappointed!!!!

Smart, Handy Device to Prepare for your Shopping Trip
We've had our graocery list organizer for a few weeks now, and have made two trips to the store with our resulting lists. So far, we're very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to those looking for a gadget to make their shopping experience a little more fun.I don't think there are many people who really NEED such an organizer; for years, I used a pad of yellow-lined paper to make grocery lists, skipping several spaces here and there to try to organize things by category, and that worked just fine, to be honest. The organizer categorizes things for you so you don't have to go up the same aisle three times. It shaves time off of your shopping trip, certainly, if you don't practice the categorization of items on your hand-written list. And it really is kinda fun to use.The unit itself has a very strong magnet on the back, so it will stay on your fridge without slipping once you put it there. It is fairly easy to use, too. You simply press the blue button, clearly speak "Milk" or "Eggs" or any one of hundreds of pre-stored items into it, and a short selection of possible items comes up on the screen; select which one you meant to say (which takes about 1/2 of a second) and it's on your list. There are some items that you might have to look in the accompanying book to find, for example, "Tums" might simply be listed as "antacid." If you don't like the way it's listed, you can actually add items to the list for voice recognition through the menu; I've added "triscuits" and "wheat thins" for example, because "crackers" just doesn't explain what I'm craving. In the library mode, you speak the word into the built-in microphone, type in the word, and add a category, and you're set. There are a few things I'm still getting used to with the organizer. It doesn't really "turn off," the little back-lighted screen just darkens a bit so that the words on the list are still there. After you print everything off, you can select to delete everything on the list, or select which things to delete... or not delete anything. I have a feeling there are a few tricks I've not discovered yet. There is no ink cartridge for the unit; it uses thermal paper, which is inexpensive. The paper that comes out looks quite a bit like receipt paper from the grocery store; it's clear and neat and easy to read. And everything is organized by category; dairy, canned goods, produce, frozen foods, you name it... and that's the real benefit to owning it.In closing, you probably don't need this happy little shopping tool, not so long as you own a pencil and paper, but it is quite a nifty toy if you'd like to make your shopping trips more fun and better organized. It might even make you remember to "write down" something on your shopping list when you would have neglected to with just a pen; which is seriously something that I've done once or twice since getting it.One last benefit; the chuckle you get when you are in another room and you suddenly hear your wife say "orange juice" or "toilet paper" slowly and clearly into thin air. It might even make the cat wonder what's going on!********* UPDATE ************* UPDATE ************** UPDATE **********Because the unit never actually turns off like it says it will, I've gone through my first set of 4 AA batteries in just about 5 weeks. I don't know if I have a faulty organizer, but these things really should shut completely off when you're not using it, thereby making the batteries last 5 or 10 times longer. I'd drop the rating another 1/2 star based on this issue.

smart shopper organizer
I loved how freindly their customer service is. it is so nice to talk to a person over the phoneabout this product. i have tested this product out i said stuff in it like goat cheese and butterand it seems to be working like a charm. customer service said i can only get replacemenprinting paper through them or amazon.com i can not get it locally through any office supplyplace. i hope i dont have to buy too many printing papers through the year. i only got this productyesterday and so far i am very satisified with this product. i love how it organizes and prints mygrocery lists now i am confident i dont have to go running arround all over the local grocer storesi can get all the produce i need and all the meats that i need all the dairy items i needi can be an organized shopper i am the main shopper in my family this product will be a huge blessing for me

Prehastoric Technology
Prehistoric TechnologyI purchased the SmartShopper thinking that the technology was a bit outdated. I was right! Although SmartShopper is a new concept I am not pleased with it. I am returning it because it didn't suite my needs. SmartShopper didn't categorize foods correctly when I hit "print". I had to repeat numerous items to get the right one because it only gives you three items to choose from. There should be a color screen and a way to interact and customize your grocery list etc.... I didn't find it suitable for me and my needs. Maybe Im asking too much but this product could be better evolved. Honestly, its not worth my money and if it ever become more consumer specific with evolved technology then I would consider purchasing it. I think it's a waste of time and money for the output of the product.

great idea--just doesn't work
I bought this for my wife---she's much more savy than i am regarding techie things---product seemed very well made---sturdy and nice finsh--very attractive---instruction manual was good---only big problem was voice recognition---we live in the midwest and have pretty much "six o'clock news anchor" accents so I don't think that's the issue---just couldn't recognize half the words we said---maybe each unit is a little different but this one just didn't do it for us---sent it back and Amazon was very quick to refund---so i was out just my shipping and hand. If they get this problem (which is a BIG one) solved--this would be a fantastic product!!!
