Perfect for lamp mod
Replaced the shade on a 20+ year old lamp - had to modify attachment as new shade has a 'spider' top - this kit is fantastic - gives you several options for installation and height and should work for just about any lamp - comes with a choice of finials as well, one of them a beautiful ball-type -

It doesn’t come with a socket
A socket is needed to tighten the base of the harp to the lightbulb socket. IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE BASE SOCKET. Now when I turn on the lamp the lampshade wiggles around. It is annoying. In my opinion a base socket should be included in the package. Now I have to spend more money on an item that is not included in the kit. Bad design.

Great to convert a floor lamp from an UNO fitting to a standard fitting for a new shade
This worked so well to convert a floor lamp that cam with an UNO fitting to a standard fitting so I could upgrade the lamp shade. So pleased with the ease of installation and the quality of the product.

Good
It's not a perfect fit at the base so it's very wobbly, but I used some liquid nails around the neck to give it some grip and it seems to be holding good.

I would not recommend this product, cheaply made.
The stems of the harp do not fit tightly into the base. Even with the cap pulled down over the base it is a loose fit. While trying to get the caps slid over the bases, one of the adjusting screws fell out. We put it back in place several times but it keeps falling out. We got it to work without the screw but I don't know how long it will work without tipping to one side because of the missing screw. It serves the purpose but I do not recommend this product.

Exactly as described
Used this to convert a lamp shade & base that I bought from Goodwill. Worked perfectly, and I got the satisfaction of a tiny DIY project to save a few bucks and create a unique lamp. Easy to use and nice gold color. Would buy again.
