Do the red and white wires get wired together?

Here is the wiring diagram: White Wire--Negative; White + Black--Full light on, 50% low brightness and function as parking light and side marker lights; White + Red--Back & Front light on, 100% high brightness and function as turn signal lights;

Does anyone know how to wire these up on a 90-09 topkick/kodiak? Wiring diagram doesn’t work with this truck left signal works fine, but not right.
