Beautiful soap, with an amazing sandalwood perfume. I have used this soap for years and also given it for presents which the recipients always ask me to buy it for them again.

20 years ago, a lady I worked with would bring me some of this soap on her return from India. I loved the scent immediately, and still do! Let me preface this by saying I am blonde/blue with very fair skin, so other people might find this soap different for their skin types. The review asks about 'moisturizing', and I do not find this soap as moisturizing at all really.. In fact, after washing my face I usually apply some type of light, unscented moisturizer. I find this soap more on the astringent side, but as I tend to have oily skin, I find it perfect for use every couple of days for deep-cleaning. On my hands, I use this soap daily, and I always have a bar in the shower. I wouldn't recommend this for your hair, for it will strip most oils away, even though the smell will certainly tempt you! I will open one bar and put it back in the box, and this goes at the bottom of the little wicker basket i have to keep clean wash-clothes in..Did I mention the GREAT SMELL!

I previously noted in a review that the oval bars which were substituted for my order were different in that the scent was not as rich and the color a little different. these round 150 gm bars are the product I have come to really like. Rich scent, lathers very well, not overly drying and long lasting. They are also a good buy for such a high quality product. The scent fills the bathroom from the soap dish. however, the scent is not at all too strong on your body, and last mos of the day as a soap used for its scent should. The classi sandalwood scent is a woodsy, slightly musky scent like incense, masculine and not too flowery or sweet. I highly recommend this product- in the round bars.

I have purchased this from a store in another town where I used to live. Since I have moved, decided to buy it from Amazon. the soap looks the same, but the scent is almost non existent. Maybe it is old? The scent was one of the things I loved best. It made my whole bathroom smell good. Don't know if I'll purchase it from Amazon again, or have a friend send it from my old town.

These are large circle shaped bath bars. Sandalwood scent is pleasing enough and stays on skin for awhile. Smell is sweet and perfumy rather than spicy or musky. I enjoy sandalwood soap for it's supposed skin and aromatherapy benefits.
