Excellent. Productivity and Accuracy in my shop just went up to the next level.
weight. this is luggable. I will remove the fence to transport it. Not too loud. Dust collection is good. Powerfull. The Castings: ground flat, good finish, any uneveniness i could measure is probably because I haven't cleaned the surface. The fence is heavy. The casting is webbed in the back, if it wasn't it would take two men to move it. The fence stays square enough. I adjusted the stop with a square, square to the table. Then holding the fence against the stop tighten the clamp. There is some slop in that, so hold it to the stop and tighten to prevent play. The tables are flat and coplanar to my eye. I ran four 3" x 5" x 3' Pecan posts through it in a few minutes. It did not bog down, and i was feeding them at not too slow of a pace. Good smooth finish, almost slick. the cutter head is Wonderful! no tearout. (except on one side of knot where it was acceptable) one tooth is leaving a .0005" ~ line. The cutters look fully seated and don't wiggle. it is a nice looking tool. the bed could be longer, but it is long enough. The dust bag does billow in the way of the outfield table a bit. The zipper blew open on the first cuts, but stayed closed thereafter. My bench will be finished !

There is one downfall.
Fantastic product with one downfall. Beautiful cast iron in-feed and out-feed tables. Fantastic cast iron fence. True helix cutter head. Great chip collection. Very portable. The downfall: It will NOT cut a rabbet. The table shape and the non-removable guard make rabbet cutting impossible. Clearly, cutting tapered rabbets for applying door and window casing was NOT part of the design process.

Really nice
I’m very pleased. Most bench top jointers are aluminum or at least the fence is aluminum. And will not remain square. The Jet is all cast iron, flat and once adjusted to square, seems to stay that way. The helical cutter head is sharp and very quite. Makes a great smooth cut.

It's good. But you will regret not buying the one with a bigger table.

Ideal for Garage Shop
It’s very convenient to have the helical head cutter with inserts, very precise, and easy to move from one place to other, the only inconvenient is the price. 😅

Cast iron base and fence...
After searching many other items and realizing they had flimsy fences, I had to choose this item as it has a solid table and fence...hasn't disappointed....
