LightInTheBox LED Modern Wave Pendant Light, Acrylic Linear Chandeliers Ceiling Mount Lighting Fixture for Kitchen Island, Dining Room, Living Room (Light Source: White)

This light was installed over my pool table as unique and functional light. Allie and I could not find a pool table specific light that we liked. Unless you want your pool room to look like a sports bar, and overpay for what you get, it helps to be creative and think "outside the box". This went up perfectly, with no special issues, or modifications I'm unsure what "not made for the US" means, that a few reviews mentioned. If it's in reference to covering up a previous install, I'm unsure that would qualify as "not US compatible". At any rate, it's a beautiful light, and goes well with the decor. For now, it appears to work perfectly, and illuminates the pool table without overpowering the room.

First of all, The light is shown in images that make it look larger than it really is. It is not as long as a typical couch or three chair long dining table. Let the Buyer beware and take note of actual dimensions of 37” long. Second, the directions for installation are virtually non-existent. Third, when installed, I thought that it would work out good enough to provide enough light over our pool table. However, shortly after install it quit working. Therefore I took it down and checked all connections and found the only possible reason for malfunction was the transformer is burnt out. This was noted on previous posts. Issue four: In trying to contact Light In The Box (manufacture) website, it takes me to a clothing website sharing the same name. Really bogus! All I need is replacement transformer in lieu iit the hassle of attempting to returning it. Please help!

I have been looking for a light for my dining room for a while. Finally found the perfect light. Only issue I had was the width of the light mount size compared to the ceiling opening. I created a wood base and painted it black to attach to the light mount and ceiling . Love the look . You can adjust the height of the light very easy. It’s very bright.

This lamp is a narrow and long piece of acrylic with a line of LEDs lighting it in the middle. It took me two purchases to find the right light colour for me. First I purchased “Unitary Brand Modern Acrylic Wave Shape Nature White LED Island Light”. It was strongly blue and un-natural looking in my all white hallway/stairwell. After further research I realized that I bought a 6000K light, which is very bright and cool blue. Then I bought a “LightInTheBox Acrylic LED Pendant Light Wave Shape Chandeliers Modern Island Dining Room Lighting Fixture With Max 40W Chrome Finish 3400 LM Light Source=Warm White”. In the specs it is noted that Color Temperature (k): 3000/6000 – which is confusing, because it cannot be both, 3000 and 6000K. It turned out to be 3000K, which is warmer and more natural. It is not as yellow as it appears in some photos on Amazon. Other sellers call this “yellow”, I would call it “natural white”. This warmer color matches the “regular” LED lights from a major home improvement store I used in the rest of my home, and is much whiter and cooler than the old-style incandescent light bulbs.I purchased both lamps as “Used in good condition” from Amazon WarehouseDeals. Both came in excellent condition, both appeared unused. Packaging was slightly damaged, but the Styrofoam inside held the lamp secure. One of the boxes was missing the instruction leaflet. The quality of manufacturing was different: the “Unitary” fixture hung very straight and had no defects. The “LightInTheBox” fixture appears to be slightly V-shaped if you look at it end-on, as if the two pieces surrounding the LED lights were glued together a little crooked. When hanging it leans to one side very slightly. The black plastic strip covering the LED block has a slightly different sheen in several places. Both of these are very small defects, not really noticeable to anyone but the homeowner, and I chose the fixture with these small defects since it has the more pleasing light color.The installation was difficult. It does not fit the standard US round electrical box used for ceiling fixtures. It would fit a 2 x 4 electrical box commonly used for outlets. The electrician had to install a blank cover to hide the opening, and also install an additional steel bracket to hold the lamp. Once installed, height adjustment is possible by depressing a stopper that allows the wire to go in or out of the metal cover. There are also additional security stoppers that can be mounted on the wires inside the metal cover. They prevent the wire from extending, but they can be mounted with room for an adjustment. I have mine installed at an angle. Overall I like this light fixture. Its unusual wavy shape and angled installation complements the stairwell nicely.

Overall the light is pretty and does brighten up a good area.The most major downsides is:1. There are no instructions on installation, and it is literally a pain in the butt to install.2. If it burns out, you cannot buy a part for it, you need to buy the whole kit ($80+)3. The last one lasted less than 3 years. For an led light, it should last 10+ but it burned out in less than 3. Rediculous especially since it costs so much.My wife wanted a replacement since she liked the design. But since this is such a pain to install, and it seems like they do not last long, this will be our last one.

Initially the light was good, has only been installed for a couple of weeks, due to being under construction, the black strip is peeling off the light.

As several other reviewers have pointed out, installation is tricky and requires an imaginative approach to keep the light code-compliant, but once installed, the light is bright and attractive. However, I am downgrading this from four stars to one star after a flaw in the plastic allowed the heat from the LEDs to deform it. One of the hanging screws pulled through its hole and the thing came crashing down. This after only two months. The flaw was hidden by the black tape in the middle until it was torn off in the fall. I cannot recommend this item.

It’s gorgeous and goes very well in my kitchen!
