I've used this product for decades, BUT in the small 4oz bottles. Do your own math yourself and calculate your savings when you buy the gallon size and refil those little bottles! If you have the space - and the volume of use to get this gallon fullly savored in several years - invest in it. The quality is excellent; it livens up meats, in chiles and sauces. I do much of my cooking inside on stove or in oven, and this makes the kitchen feel/smell as though I'm grilling!

Great price for a gallon of liquid smoke. My husband uses it for making beef jerky. It has a good flavor and a small amount goes a long way.

If you're used to buying those little bottles of liquid smoke in the grocery store, you probably already know how good this product is. But have you ever thought about how much you're paying for those bottles? This gallon size is far more economical, and you can use it to refill those little bottles or replace them with something a bit larger on your countertop, so you have easy access whenever a bit of smoke flavor is what you need. Oh, and don't worry about finding room in the refrigerator--this stuff keeps just fine at room temperature.

I make a lot of jerky, and have always used a real wood-fired smoker, but this takes a LOT of time and effort when dealing with lots of little strips of meat. The issue is all the attention it takes to constantly monitor the fire temp, smoke level, and check the jerky after a few hours to find and pull off the thinner pieces at the right point before they go too far. My oven has a dehydrator function, so I finally swallowed my pride and tried that with Liquid Smoke. After numerous comparison tests, I found that using this stuff at 1 oz per pound of meat in the marinade for two days prior to dehydrating the meat makes a decent and easy option. No, it is not quite as good as doing it the real way, but frankly, for the simplicity and ease of just using the oven, I am satisfied.

Love that smoke flair on all dishes, if you want that Chard style flavor indoor Barbecue flavor this is it. Love it my Mom’s used it raised on it excellent for wild game deer’s etc., tames the wild gamie

I've previously enjoyed using the 472ml size of mesquite, so when I saw the gallon size, it was a case of why not!!
