I love it...this was a last minute gift and I suggest for anyone trying to impress with a present that entails elegance, sexy and refreshing aromas. Unlike other vendors, I emailed my questions and I was impressed about how detailed and helpful the response was. This vendor is a keeper by all means. This is not a good but excellent deal!

Let's start with the appearance of this fragrance. The box is pretty enough, and the bottle is gorgeous. It's 4-1/2 inches tall, with an icy, jewel-like quality. The eau de toilette inside is very faintly tinted violet. There's a tiny satin bow tied around its neck. A really fetching bottle, in my opinion, and one that would look beautiful on anyone's vanity. Now on to the scent. I saw some reviewers describing it as a "grandma" scent. I don't know what anyone else's grandma smells like, but I got a completely different impression. I would describe it as very young, very fresh, very early-Summer.The scent makes me think of the month of May in a beach town with a sea breeze and llilacs faintly scenting the air. The top note is sharp & citrusy. Once the fragrance has dried and settled, what's left is sweet; not cloying, but girlish. It's lightly floral, ever so slightly powdery, distantly spicy, somewhat aquatic. Its name, "Fresh," suits it perfectly. This is a very sweet and endearing, unsophisticated fragrance. So much so that I feel it's too young for me. Since Rochas is a Parisian house, I'll use the French terms: Rochas Fraiche is a scent for an "ingenue," and I'm a woman "d'une certaine age." Basically, I'm too mature for this bubbly concoction. Thinking of a 20th anniversary gift for your beloved wife? Skip this and get a sensuous, womanly classic -- say, almost anything by Chanel. Buying a first "real" perfume for a teenage girl or college graduate? Someone full of optimism, ready to take on the world but not ready to be too seductive? This is perfect.

I love this perfume but unfortunately the item was not fresh and it was possibly not original or old. I believe that the country of origin and date should be included with perfumes which cannot be returned !!! Also, speaking with customer service about perfume returns is nearly impossible . I had to ask my daughter to find the way. I will not purchase again my beloved perfumes Eau de Rochas and Eau de Rochas freiche on line.

*I* don't like it; let me be clear. Two stars means *I* don't like it, not that it's *not* a good product. One or two reviewers commented on "freshness" and it's fresh (at least mine is). Additionally, I wouldn't call it a "Grandmother" perfume. I could definitely see how some people could go there, but it's really too sharp, and too clean to be a "grandmother" perfume. I tend to gravitate towards sharp, edgy, slightly masculine (or unisex) scents. This is not that. The oak moss and fresh water I thought would do it for me (love oak moss), but really the base smells like equal parts White Flower/Liatris and Musk. The fresh water notes give it that clean somewhat sharp scent and the bergamot and oak moss are largely lost on me (particularly the bergamot). I would imagine that this would be suitable for a mature woman (meaning 40+) that wants to project an air of maturity and refinement (classic/reserved) who may like edgier flowery scents (not just a floral bouquet). If you're into the edgier scent...that has similar notes, but is much younger you may wish to try Tokyo Milk's "Age of Aquarius" - Begamot, Iceland Moss, White Orchid, and Willow Bark. Very delicious, very edgy...but TM perfumes tend to fade on the quicker side.

I surprised my wife with a 1.6 oz. bottle of Rochas Eau de Rochas Fraîche Eau de Toilette and she absolutely loves it. She says it is delightfully light and clean smelling and reminds her of a shop full of luxury items. It's just the right strength to wear to work or on a date. I think I hit a home run with this one. I like it too.
