SKIL 15 Amp 7-1/4 Inch Circular Saw with Single Beam Laser Guide - 5280-01

This saw is amazing. It powered through everything I cut without a single problem. This is my 3rd skilsaw brand skilsaw. I own 4 skilsaws and 3 of them are skilsaw brand. I have watched one video on here where the person had the blade backwards. There is nothing wrong with this saw and would purchase it again if needed but my dream skilsaw is the 16 and 5/8 beam saw skilsaw which will be on my list. I am a wood finisher and buy and sell wood privately. I used this saw to cut all the bad out of my lumber when I grade it before stacking it. It is 5 star all the way. A lot lighter than my 10" and easy to use. No regrets in purchasing this saw. The laser light is assume. These pics should speak for this saw

good saw for the money laser works good. also have skill worm drive for heavy cutting. these two saws are the perfect combination. will buy again.

This is the one. Don’t waste time or money on any other saw. This saw is a beast. I’ve cut several sheets of OSB both 1/2 and 3/4 and the saw tracked well cut amazingly smoothly with the included blade. The laser line is helpful and shows up nice and bright. It is a winner.

My old skill was 13 amp and my neighbor screwed it up so I bought this. I owned it for 20 plus years...15 amp is a nice difference. Cuts threw things like butter. It may not be the most expensive saw but it cuts like one.

My normal circular saw is a SKIL 15 amp worm drive bought over 20 years ago and probably has thousands of hours of use. My need for a cost effective saw to stay at the vacation home presented the question "cost versus durability" for a low use tool. When comparing the options worm drive versus a standard circular saw the difference has always been cutting power. Circular saw price differences usually relate to the motor power/Amps. This SKIL has a 15 amp motor and a little weight making the rolling into a 2x4 cut fast and easy. The laser guide is a nice feature given my normal use with a worm drive. The laser offers a quick alignment on the line without moving to find the blade on the right side. Yes worm drives are the best for aligning on the line and using their weight to make the cut. Comparing this saw against other manufacturers showed SKIP 15 amp 7 1/4 circular saw as the best for the price and included a soft case. A storage case was a plus in the comparison against other brands.

Good little saw. Nice light to help you cut. Cuts well. Won’t the money, not to big, and heavy. Easy to work with and carry
