SKIL 15 Amp 7-1/4 Inch Circular Saw with Single Beam Laser Guide - 5280-01

This saw is amazing. It powered through everything I cut without a single problem. This is my 3rd skilsaw brand skilsaw. I own 4 skilsaws and 3 of them are skilsaw brand. I have watched one video on here where the person had the blade backwards. There is nothing wrong with this saw and would purchase it again if needed but my dream skilsaw is the 16 and 5/8 beam saw skilsaw which will be on my list. I am a wood finisher and buy and sell wood privately. I used this saw to cut all the bad out of my lumber when I grade it before stacking it. It is 5 star all the way. A lot lighter than my 10" and easy to use. No regrets in purchasing this saw. The laser light is assume. These pics should speak for this saw

I'm glad I bought this because my 30-year-old Skil worm-drive circular saw (that still works perfectly) had become too heavy for this aging DIYer. I'm in the middle of renovating my basement and bought it on an impulse because of the weight and price/value ($59). So far, it's much easier for me to handle. It's no frills, but a pleasure to work with, and it came with a quality blade. For $100-200 more, I could have bought a cordless saw, which would be very cool and probably safer (not having to manage a cord). However, I'm accustomed to corded saws, I'm always near a power source, and I'm already over budget on my project - so this saw works perfectly.

this is also a very good buy, I shopped the local stores and they wanted over a 100.00 dollars for known products. i got this a very good price and it works very well. this work well for my home repairs. the red Lazer can be seen during the day light hours.

This is the one. Don’t waste time or money on any other saw. This saw is a beast. I’ve cut several sheets of OSB both 1/2 and 3/4 and the saw tracked well cut amazingly smoothly with the included blade. The laser line is helpful and shows up nice and bright. It is a winner.

Skil Does not let me down! This saw is robust and solid. NO wiggly handle or other parts. I used it to rip 8 foot strips to make corner beads. (multiple cuts on one strip) Awesome Economy Saw.

My old skill was 13 amp and my neighbor screwed it up so I bought this. I owned it for 20 plus years...15 amp is a nice difference. Cuts threw things like butter. It may not be the most expensive saw but it cuts like one.

Excellent tool for a DIYer. My first use of this tool was yesterday. It was a very pleasant and rewarding experience. It cut through a 6 inch wood smoothly that if not for the saw dust exhausting out, I did not initially believe that it was sawing the wood. A reviewer who described his experience as "cutting through butter" is absolutely correct. It cut effortlessly and smoothly. It is light weight and yet did not transmit much vibration to my hands. I like the safety buttons that prevent an accidental triggering. I found removing the attached spanner and releasing the depth adjustment lever stiff. Perhaps this is intentional by design so the spanner does not come out loose from the storage compartment while you are carrying the saw.This is very good. I also think that the depth adjustment lever being stiff is also an added advantage, so the depth adjustment stays put at the depth of cut you adjusted the blade to. Overall., I have been impressed with this circular saw. For an occasional DIYer such as myself, this is well within my budget and well priced by the manufacturer. Well done, SKIL. My only disappointment is that all the available dust collectors on Amazon are not compartible with this SKIL saw. I hope the manufacturer can go a step further and design a dust collect system that will work with SKIL circular saws.

I’ve only used this a few times. My expensive dewalt circular saw broke after 5 years of light use and was battery powered. This saw is quite good for the $. It’s plug in so the power is consistent. Honestly it outperformed my Dewalt but maybe I didn’t use large enough batteries. The laser feature is nice. Works with the kreg rip cut jig too.

Soy fan y usuario de otras marcas, pero al ver las características (disco de 7 1/4” y 5,300 RPMs, láser) y el precio, era difícil decir no. Llegó en la fecha indicada, tres días. La sierra llega bien empacada, caja original dentro de una caja de Amazon. La máquina llegó con un ligero golpe en el interruptor del led, y pensé en regresarla. Pero decidí quedármela para arreglar ese pequeño detalle que con el uso deberá pasar a segundo término, estéticamente nada mayor. Fué cosa sencilla de arreglar y quedó funcionando al 100% el interruptor. El láser rojo, venía algo desalineado y también fué sencillo ajustarlo (llave allen 3/32”). La potencia se escucha y siente al encenderla!! Se siente ligera porque trae alguna piezas de plástico, aunque la cubierta de la hoja es de metal. La sierra que viene incluida trae su protector de plástico, y su manual de usuario, todo en orden. Aún no la pruebo funcionalmente, esperamos hacerlo pronto. Recomiendo Comprarla!!!

Good machine but to buy in India one must know that it is not comatible with electrical standard in India so you gonna need step down transformer/ adapter
