MACK Granite Garbage truck (ruby red-green)

Update: It's a year later and our grandsons continue to love these trucks. They are holding up very well and still look new. We're very happy with them! We bought two of these (Garbage Truck and Dump Truck) for our two grandsons, ages two and four. They absolutely LOVE them. The first thing they do when they get to our house is to run down to the play room to get the trucks. They are very well made and life-like. They are not built like a tank and an overly destructive child might break off some of the small parts pretty quick. The first thing our two-year-old did was to pull off the door. Fortunately it snaps back on easily and after telling him to be gentle he has not done it more than a couple times. He's a rough-and-ready type of kid but not overly destructive by nature. Also note that technically these vehicles are for ages older than 2. I was worried about the little plastic mirrors but I just leave them folded in and so far nothing has broken. The garbage truck is the biggest hit. The trash mechanisms work as advertised and I was pleasantly surprised that with a little coaching both boys can make it work and love to play with it. We use little plastic disks for the 'garbage' which works better than paper or other things but you could use almost anything. The trucks are very large and the colors bright which appeals to the children. They also roll very easily. They are great 'indoor' trucks. You could use them outside but I think they'll last longer inside. Probably the biggest downfall is the price. These things are not cheap and if you've got overly aggressive kids/grandkids then there are better options. I took a gamble and it was a winner for our two grandsons.

This was our 3rd Bruder truck for our boys. They love garbage trucks - who doesn't? Bruder trucks are detailed, well made and pretty durable. We have a few other trucks that have been banged and bruised and might have chipped in a place or two, but all in all the trucks are all still functional and look great. These are the types of toys that last generations and are really timeless. The garbage truck has some nice features which I don't totally understand myself, but the kids love the dumping of the cans. I wish it had a side loading arm like the garbage truck in our neighborhood, but I think Bruder makes a recycling truck like that, so that might be our next one. Other than that, it's a fun truck and they love playing with it.

Be sure you have enough room to store it, because this truck is huge. It is about 8 inches longer than the Bruder "Man" side loader truck. Both doors open so you can sit a couple of Bruder figurines, or the poseable "CAT" figurines, in the cab to drive it. It comes with 2 regular sized waste cans that fit in the mechanism. The device will also hook up to the large grey cans that hold a lot more "Trash". It is made out of very high grade of plastic, that doesn't break, they just pop apart, and pop right back together. My 31/2 yr. old Boy has 5 Bruder vehicles, and every one of them is still in perfect condition, due to thr quality.

To say my grandson is obsessed with garbage trucks is an understatement. Still, he loves this truck. It is well made and has a number of features that he was able to master quickly (he's almost three). There is a lot of detail. It isn't cheap, but for the amount of time he plays with it and its durability, I would say it is worth the price!

My son absolutely loves this bruder garbage truck! He was so excited that it had a working compactor. The InTimePrime is a great company who cares about their customers. We initially received the wrong vehicle, a skid steer toy instead of the garbage truck, and they worked tirelessly to make sure the correct toy was shipped out to us in time for my son's birthday. They also helped arrange for us to be able to purchase the skid steer toy from them, as my son also loves it! There's nothing better then a company who will go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy!

Like many kids, my son is obsessed with garbage trucks. He just turned 2 and we purchased this for him when he was about 1 and a half so much earlier than the recommendation. Even though that's the case, he just absolutely loves it. It's big and just absolutely beautiful and detailed. Most importantly, it's functional and durable. Even though we have had it for 6 months, it looks brand new. Nothing is broken even though he runs it in to walls and is not gentle with any of the moving parts. Probably the best feature is that it actually comes with two trash bins that can fit on the back and have flip covers that can dump "Trash" into the trash truck and then be flipped in to a different compartment. It also has two doors that open so an action figure that is purchased separately could be placed inside. Make no mistake, this truck is expensive-but if you think your child will like it and play with it for a long time, it will last. A note on Bruder trucks is that I have seen many at garage sales and after years and years of play, a "Good deal" seems to be selling them for half of what they paid for them. For the garbage truck lover, this is an investment that's worth it!

This was a disappointing purchase, I had been searching for a garbage truck for my three year old who is obsessed with all things garbage trucks. I didn’t want the plastic junk that’s everywhere, so I decided to invest in this brand. The truck was bigger than expected, yet for a toy geared to toddlers, it doesn’t make a single sound. You highlight how realistic this thing is yet it doesn’t even have a horn, which all kids love since they are kids and love the horn. It’s way overpriced for what it is and I would have expected more metal for 100 plus dollars. Wish I don’t buy.

Overall, I'd give this product 4 stars. 5+ stars for design and ingenuity, but 3-4 stars for durability. The plastic feels cheap for how much this toy costs. I am lucky my boy is very gentle. I wouldn't buy this for a rough-playing child for surely it will break. The way the garbage is processed by this truck is so cool and fun! We like the cab doors that open and that the hood opens revealing the engine. We like that there is a little window on top so you can see how full of"garbage" the truck is. ONLY USE PAPER or light cardboard (such as a cereal box) for garbage is my recommendation. A plastic bag jammed our truck and was difficult to remove. Large crumpled pieces of paper won't process very well, but smaller ones work great. Buy this at the $90ish price point if your child has been dreaming and wishing for this very product, but I don't feel like buying this at $90 is worth it otherwise. I'd say $45-$50 is more reasonable. If the plastic was strong and heavy and thick, then the $90 makes sense. Oh how I wish the plastic was super strong and heavy duty! If it was, this would be an awesome, awesome toy.

Ordinato domenica 22 marzo è arrivato questa mattina 25 marzo prima di quanto previsto. In un periodo particolare come quello che stiamo vivendo è stata una vera sorpresa. Ottimi Amazon e il venditore. Sull’oggetto c’è poco da dire visto che Bruder è una garanzia assoluta in questo campo. Camion molto robusto è dotato di un ingegnoso sistema di gestione dei rifiuti che vengono conferiti grazie a due bidoni compresi nella confezione. Si può arricchire il mezzo tramite ulteriori accessori disponibili a pagamento.

Bought this for my son who's nearly 3, its his third Bruder bin truck. He's totally obsessed with watching the bin men and playing bin trucks with grandad and daddy! Something I'm looking forward to reminding him for his 18th birthday :) The truck itself is huge and very well made like all bruder products. Its his only truck that has a compacto, which he loves. The bonet tips forward, doors open and close, wing mirrors move backwards etc.. If I had one criticism it would be that the rear of the truck doesn't open enough when getting rubbish out and can be quite obstructive when watching the rubbish been pushed out. Not that my son minds or notices its just something I noticed when comparing to his other trucks. Anyway. all in all it is s fantastic product that my little one loves and you can't get a better recommendation than that. Delivered through Amazon prime and first class service as always.
