On-Stage KSA7575+ u-Mount Mic Attachment Bar for Keyboard Stands

Amazing work, it was perfect on stage.

Got this for my wife's keyboard. Added a 19" gooseneck mic extension and it works really well. Fits well in the round tube end of the Rockville RKS30X Double X Braced Keyboard Stand we are using. I like how easy it was to install and it's rock solid. It's also easy to remove for transport. With ours I also attached a tray and phone holder that was on the mic stand. To have a better mounting spot for those I installed two 3.35" mic stand extension tubes. Best of all we don't have to deal with a boom style mic stand. Cleans up the front area of the keyboard.

Mount works really well in my tube style keyboard frame and is very secure when in place. However, the threads that connect it to my boom stand strip/wear out very quickly. The metal/alloy used does not hold up to multiple uses. I have had to replace this mount and the mini boom stand(both from Onstage) multiple times because of stripped threads. This may not be a problem in permanent setups, but if you have to tear it down every night like me, this piece will wear out very quickly. I recommend purchasing a higher quality brand such as K & M if you are in this situation.

Works well and happy with it! I bought this because I wanted to find a way to mount an iPad to my keyboard stand. It's small, fairly light, and fits into my keyboard bag, along with the Amazon Basics tablet mount which I can screw onto the end – a much more portable setup than the CTA gooseneck mount/clamp combo I used before. This attachment bar fits snug into the piping of my old On-Stage x-stand that I don't even have to tighten it much. The bar looks tall so I was concerned my iPad would sit too high above the keyboard but I'd say it's on the lower side, which is my preference. You can always buy other adapters or boom extenders if you want to make modifications, but this is really as simple as it gets, not to mention cheap. The thing about x-stands is depending on how tall you set it, the top supports can be either wide or narrow, so your music could potentially be far to your side. While the bar attachment does seem tight and sturdy enough to tilt to the side, I'd probably keep it pointing up at a right angle so as not to risk the weight of the iPad suddenly pulling it down. It really won't bring your music much closer to the center anyway, and would only bring your iPad down lower.

This fit in the end of my top tier key stand no problem. BUT!! It says ALL stands. Not true, it won't work on your Quik Loc stands. As my add on tier for Quik Loc has a tiny hole, so you have to buy their add ons. My tablet holder will also not work as the end is not like a mic stand end with the clip missing which is what I need for my ipad holder, but should work for any that has a threaded bottom like the bottom of a mic clip. That said though, it is well made and will work on my other keyboard stand. I'm buying a short adapter for it so it will work for me with my holder.

I almost gave this product a poor review because initially I could not get the darn thing to attach to my X keyboard stand! I think my stand is a bit older and has different size openings not common with other keyboard stands, though. Thank goodness this contraption came with all kinds of part sizes and shapes so if you use a little creativity and patience you can get it to attach to just about anything; and it stays sturdy! What an amazing concept to save space on floor mic stands.

This attachment does what it is supposed to do well and at a great price. It attaches to the stand firmly with no slippage. It holds a laptop tray stable as long as the thumbscrew for changing the adaptor from threaded to u-mount is screwed tight. I would however recommend that potential buyers consider the height of their keyboard on the tier under the stand before they commit to the purchase. It really is quite short, so I am unable to mount my laptop on the stand above my electric piano at all and whilst I am able to mount it above my midi controller it does obscure a number of the controls.

Just the job for removing clutter on stage and preventing the over excited band members from kicking your mic stand over - - they do you know - but then perhaps they don't like my singing. Well they have to put up with it now they can only knock the boom arm sideways - - they do that too - - and I can rescue that without missing a beat. I had to source the boom arm elsewhere. It would have been good to have one on offer with it.

I have been looking for something like this for a while. I can attach my iPad and the top part of a mic stand. No more added mess around the stage. Perfect!!! I was so happy with it that I immediately ordered a second. My only regret is that I didn't order four from the beginning. I'd love to have two for my studio and two for gigging. At that price, why not?
