Very nice journal, 160 gsm
I had an A&O notebook last year and that was honestly the most luxurious notebook I've ever had. It was very nice, but I just can't spend almost $40 on a notebook again. I don't really do a lot of journaling or collections in my bujo so I only used about 2/3 of the 160 pages in that notebook. As much as I loved it, I didn't use it to its fullest (and it made my bag extra heavy). My only real requirements for a notebook are good paper (minimal bleedthrough), lays flat, and unobtrusive cover design. I looked around and heard about this Seques notebook. It doesn't feel quite as nice as the A&O - the paper feels just a smidge thinner and isn't quite as bright, the spine puckers when it's open. Despite all that, the difference between the two brands is like saying one is 98% perfect and the other is 94.5% perfect (and $12 less). The Seques notebook is 5/5 stars because the value is amazing and the details of the product far exceed the price point. You get all the bells and whistles: minimal bleedthrough 160 gsm paper, lays flat, 2 books marks, the back pocket, a pen loop, freebies, numbered pages, a nice box to keep flake stickers in, a wide color range to choose from... Ditto to another review on here that says they'd like a smooth cover option. I've had a cloth covered notebook before and it's fine if you're careful with them but showing their wear is unavoidable after a while. Anyway, I'm looking forward to using this notebook this year!

Best quality journal I've owned
This is better than the Leuchtturm & Bullet Journal brands (both of which are 120 gsm). This journal is linen-backed, has a back pocket, comes with stickers, grid spacing guide, a 2026/2027 calendar card, a metal ruler, & paperclips. I am impressed with the quality as the paper is nice and thick and I am sure it will hold up to all types of art mediums. I am excited to use this journal.

Good Quality.
Very good quality. It’s a great size. It’s lays flat. I didn’t have any issues with it bleeding through. Overall it’s an awesome journal. Plus the accessories that come with it are adorable and useful.

Just received this item
I just received my Bullet Journal so I cannot say anything about longevity. However, I love how this the paper is, there won't be bleed through with these thick pages. Which is important because I like to draw inside and use markers. The dots are even, there is no slant to them, which I hate when that happens. The dots are dark enough to see, but not in your face dark. You can write and draw, and focus on that instead of the dots, which is great. I love that the pages are numbered, however I do wish there were a couple of pages in front just for an index...although I can use the first few pages just for that. So that is a wish not a need. I got the magenta Fox with Butterfly...I love the color and the adorable characters. I definitely would recommend this...for now. IF I do have problems later with pages coming out or problems with the binding I will update my review.

Delayed Use and Review - Excited to Use!
I purchased this journal at the start of 2024 (it’s now newly 2025). I was going to use it, but I ended up going with a different brand for 2024. I am now jumping in with this journal, and I was reminded why I considered returning. Kinda dumb, but the calendar it came with was a year old by the time I got it. (It came with a 2023 when I bought it in 2024.) Now that I am starting my new year journal (lil late 😬), I figure, “Eh.” It looks like SeQes stopped providing a calendar to stop the problem I had. (I remember reading a review where the same thing happened to another purchaser.) The set now just comes with the notebook, a few stickers, paper clips (so cute!), and a ruler. PROS: Thick, sturdy cover. Lovely linen feel. The leaf print I got is subtle, which I like. The color is very pleasant, and I appreciate the pen holder on the side. The pages are thick and numbered. LOVE the full size pocket at the back. (Another journal I purchased, the back pocket was half size which just caused things to fall out.) CONS: The calendar (might be a moot point at this the time of writing the review, but I’d love an updated one if they have one). The ruler/bookmark is quite flimsy, and it likely can’t be used for anything other than a book mark. It is super cute, though! All in all, I’m excited to jump in! I don’t foresee any issues, and I’m looking forward to creating my 2025 journal! Unlikely, but if it suddenly explodes or the pages fall out, I’ll update. Oh! It came in a nice box which protects the journal from bending before use. ::Borat voice:: “Very niiiice.”

Top Quality and Beautifully Designed Journal!
I was looking for something comparable to Notebook Therapy and Archer and Olive brands, and this notebook checks all boxes and for a little more affordable and the fast delivery service of Amazon. SeQes has many pretty colors/designs to choose. The color of this one is true in my pictures which is a bit brighter orange than the coral I was hoping for. However sometimes it's fun to have something out of your comfort zone or that's what I am going to tell myself. I do like the embossed gold flowers and gold gilded pages. I like the fabric hardcover that is held with elastic band. It also has a secure elastic pen loop and two matching ribbon bookmarks. The paper is 160gsm light cream, from experience should hold up to all pens and markers without bleeding through. I believe paints would also work on this paper. The dot lineup across the pages which will make it easier to write and set up bujo spreads. Came packaged nicely in a box and shrink wrapped in plastic. In the box they included extra goods which I really appreciate. I love the grid guide-drawing ideas chart. Full sticker sheet, paper clip, and metal stencil bookmark which fit nicely into the back pocket of the journal. I’m really happy with my purchase! If you are interested in bullet journaling, mixed media, collage, or art journaling this will be a great contender or if you know anyone who does this would make an awesome gift!

Overall, I’m happy with this journal, but there were a few unexpected quality issues on arrival. It came packaged in a small box, which unfortunately was damaged. The included sticker sheets were also damaged, the fold line has smudge marks, making some of the stickers unusable. The first page had also started separating slightly from the spine on arrival, which I’ve since glued to prevent further damage. Additionally, while it was meant to come with two ribbon bookmarks, they weren’t securely attached, so I ended up with two loose ribbons instead of functional bookmarks. That said, the journal itself is still lovely to use, and despite these issues, I’m happy with the purchase. Just be aware that the packaging and finishing details could be improved.

I was looking for a new Journal and wanting something a little different to my usual 1917, with thicker pages - the reviews for SEQES (HiQeng) journals said it was excellent for fountain pen ink not feathering, unlike a lot of them, and the cover colour looked lovely so I took a stab at ordering one - the pages are indeed excellent, the writing smooth and clear - not too happy with the cover though, although the finish is very nice, there's an annoying mark right on the front and several places where what looks like glue has been dripped and dried in little lumps. I would expect better for the price.
