Valeo 52285616 Solid Flywheel Clutch Conversion Kit Compatible with Select Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, Beetle, and Rabbit Models

I bought and installed this clutch kit in a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L. It is an excellent option to replace the factory dual mass flywheel. Easy to install. Comes with all parts you need for the job except for the clutch arm pivot pin which has a nylon head and should be replaced if the clutch is replaced.

This thing is pretty heavy and was poorly packaged which ended up damaging the disc and hardware was missing. Make sure to inspect as soon as you get it.

Everything was fine until I started it up and depressed the clutch. It seems that the travel is too far and over extending the pressure plate, which makes a clicking noise which a presume is the throw out bearing hitting the clutch disk. I shimmed the slave cylinder out to compensate, and then found a way to reduce the pedal throw (even though there is no factory adjustment). Working fine at the moment, but beware!

The conversion went together with no problems and is working great and is much quieter than the OEM dual mass flywheel! Recommended for any one wanting/needing to replace a dual mass fly wheel for their A5 jetta TDI (BRM in this case)

Parts worked great but when it showed up there was a whole in the box and the screws were missing. So not sure if the screws came out during shipping or if it was shipped without the screws

Otherwise would’ve been a great clutch kit

This is the second one ive put in the same jetta and it seems to be a very good product. Also its a lot cheaper than oem.

Bent pressure plate flywheel has a raised lip all the way around it. Seller is extremely hard to get ahold of for a refund.
