IPI INDUSTRIES BERG III Extended Ru

I recently purchased this extended run system for my Honda EU6500is so I could run it overnight when camping without worrying about it running out of gas.This was the 1st system I have seen for my larger Honda generator so I pulled the trigger as soon as it became available.The overall quality of the components are VERY good. The system is bit more complex than I thought (by looking at the online photos) and I was somewhat disappointed in having to alter my new generator to be able to use it.Pros-Good quality partsExtended run time is greatGas tank includedCons-Price. $500You have to remove the original Honda gas cap and gas sediment filter (under the gas cap) to use the very deep Berg gas cap.Berg gas cap does NOT seal properly like the factory gas cap. I hope water does not leak into the gas tank.A large tube has to be connected from the oil fill hole (inside the generator side cover) to the gas cap (in addition to the gas line tube that connects to the auxiliary gas tank). If you close the side door it pinches the tube and does not seal very well. I suppose this is important in the design of the system, but looks clumsy and takes time to set up. If you want to get the generator up and running fast you will have to be patient.Overall, if run time is very important, this seems to be the only game in town. Just not as convenient as it seemed and be prepared to slightly alter your generator to be able to use it.UPDATE 9/2/13- called IPI Industries 'Berg' to ask why the gas cap does not close flush like the factory cap. Nice guy explained it does not close for mechanical reasons. He said there is a rubber gasket under the gas cap to prevent water from getting in. Hopefully it will work out ok. Kudus to IPI for answering the phone promptly and I raised my review to 4 stars.
