We only had our tv and cable boxes plugged in. I heard a noise like static to find this was catching on fire! I chose 1 stars for these only because I had to. I give it a fat zero and a fire hazard.

I have about 6 of the old version of this extension cord/surge protector.The old version had several unbeatable features:--swivel head so you could have the cord angled in the right direction--flat head so you could put furniture against the outlet--long cord so you could use it behind a sofa and still have enough cord to plug things in.The new version is more than twice the width. It's absolutely huge. Not really flat at all.The new version has NO swivel head. It's locked in the down position. :(The new version is so thick at the head that's it awkward to plug in and almost impossible to plug in without touching the prongs as you push it into the socket which is incredibly dangerous.I thought perhaps I ordered the wrong brand but my old ones all have GE stamped on them, so they just made significant changes to make the product inferior. :(

For the first two months, we thought this was fine; the protected light was on, everything stayed in place, life was fine. But then we had a storm and the power turned off and back on fairly quickly, but both our gaming system and sound-bar that had been plugged in are no longer functioning. So much for "protected." We wanted this to be so helpful, but it couldn't even last through one storm!

We bought this because we need that flat, square plug that's pictured with the cord going off of the bottom right corner. Instead, we got a round one with a cord going straight down making it useless because of other cords using the same outlet being the way. Really irritating that what's pictured is not at all what we got but is what's advertised. That photo needs to be changed or they need to figure out who screwed up in the ordering process.

I would consider the covers then just a nuisance since it offers no protection and is so easily moved into undesired positions. Without an actual “twist to lock” feature this becomes an overpriced, annoying surge protector.

I bought these to replace units that were old. I didn't expect there to be such a huge ordeal after that. I plugged my tv into one and it immediately fried my tv. I contacted Jasco to file a claim against the warranty and it was denied. They said it worked just fine, even though it didn't work when it was in my possession...not sure what type of magic they worked there but they're just terrible terrible people. They admitted to not even testing the plugs for functionality, so how does it work when they didn't actually test it to see if it worked? Fraud. Theft. Poor Customer Service. All of the above, just a huge cluster of nonsense. I will never again buy a GE product or something related tp Jasco.

We bought two of these about a month ago. One to run our 3 phone chargers and one for my son's video game counsel (PS4). Both of these cords did the exact thing. There was a smell and then we noticed the issue. If we were not home I fear the house would have burned down. Neither was being used for anything that should have caused this to happen. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

BEWARE! If you try plugging in a simple, two-pronged plug, such as a table lamp, it won't fit. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but half-a-dozen friends and family members tried and failed. To clarify the issue, the power strip plugs into the wall outlet with no problem. The appliances you want to use do not fit into the strip unless they have a grounded, three-prong plug. My Echo dots, my phone chargers, and my nightstand lamps will not plug into it. Since I bought two of these for these exact items, I wasted my money, effort, and time.

La calidad es fenomenal. El color de la luz es bonito aunque puede ser molesto en la noche. Las cubiertas giratorias funcionan bien y son ideales si tienes niños o líquidos cerca. Tiene buen número de entradas y protege a los equipos conectados. También es sorprendentemente estética. La clavija es plana, aunque el ángulo en el que está posicionada es un poco inconveniente.

El cable es grueso, por lo que da confianza de que debe ser resistente. Como decía otro comentario, hay que tener en cuenta la orientación de dónde planeas colocarlo, como yo lo requiero del lado izquierdo, la longitud del cable se vio afectada pero no fue casi nada ya que es lo suficientemente largo para mi escritorio.Lo que más me gustó fue la cabeza plana ya que debido a que los escritorios están casi pegados a la pared, el área para la conexión es muy reducida y había tenido problemas con dicho espacio con otras extensiones, así que este quedó de maravilla.

Es extraño encontrar productos con las 3B.Este producto cumple con todo eso, el cable es super grueso, largo y la clavija es de tipo FAT por lo que tiene una construcción muy sólida.Cada contacto tiene su propia tapa de seguridad y también es para que no le entre el polvo.Vale la pena, incluso pienso en pedir otros más.Update: La luz azul que indica que está prendida es muy potente, lo que se puede volver un tanto molesto si apagas completamente la luz del cuarto en el que está. (tipo lo tengo en mi cuarto y de repente es relativamente molesto el foquito por que medio alumbra la habitación)Esto puede ser algo superfluo, pese a esto compraré otra más.

Aunque de plástico como muchas otras piezas similares, se siente de calidad por el conector plano y lo mejor que buscaba era el largo del cable (y es grueso).PROS- Conexión plana- Largo muy bueno del cable- Barra delgada- Habilidad para tapar entradas no usadasCONTRAS- El poder tapar las entradas para niños gira muy fácilmente, ni hace clic así que no va a proteger mucho si un niño lo va a estar tocando
