What are the dimensions of this item?

It is not 29 inches wide nor the 29.1 inches in the spec. It is actually 29.25 inches. It was a problem with my crate because it was too wide.

What is the width on this dog crate pan? I've looked everywhere and there's no width.

If your crate is 42 inches long the pan will fit in the crate. I am not sure of the width of it. I was worried about that too but took the chance. It fits perfect for the 42 inch long crate

I have an older crate that is 42 x 24. One person said that it is 23.5 inches wide and someone else said it's 27. Which is the correct width?

I just measured mine. Amazon notified me of your question, so I'm assuming the link you are referring to is exactly the same one I ordered through Amazon. Mine is 42 x 28... measuring from outside edge to outside edge. The other person that listed 23.5 must have been from another link. I hope that helps.

The floor of my crate is 35x23 which crate pan should I order?

This one should be good for you. Nearly the exact dimensions of this pan are 35x23. As a replacement to the one that came with the crate, this one is a bit more snug than the original. However, it can be wedged in place. It's not as easily removed.
