MSI MPG AMD B550 Gaming Plus Socket AM4 ATX DDR4-SDRAM Motherboard

My old NZXT board randomly shorted on me due to a fan header solder on the back of the PCB. Completely fried the board telling me it was the CPU. I panicked and ordered a new CPU. After several bench tests i couldn't get the old board to post. So, I moped my way to amazon to view the $300+ NZXT boards when this beauty came to my rescue with the same hardware support at a way lower price. I ordered it. It showed up next day. I threw all of hardware from the other board onto this one, plugged it in, hit the button, and.. BOOOM! This board fired up on the original boot drive and automatically transferred hardware ID's.... I'm super impressed and it was worth every cent! Thanks MSI for saving my butt!

I received a new board despite the reviews of being sent a used one. I moved from a Intel board to this and so far have no regrets. It works fine under Linux and Windows . I'm using a 5800XT and it runs just as fast if not better than the 10700k I replaced this with. I needed a board with a com port so I chose this over the Intel I was running. It's just what I wanted, didn't have to upgrade the ram. Nice board.

When I opened the box there were no screws for mounting the motherboard and the manual that was included was for an MSI graphics card not a motherboard. After careful installation it won't even power up. I put my old motherboard back in works just fine. I hadn't realized this was a used product or I would have never ordered it. Very disappointing.

bought cause was trying to fix a bottleneck with a 5800x. board was a great upgrade plenty of connectors including a usb4 (3.2 10gbps) header over the past several years now seems to be a really reliable motherboard

Solid 4 stars. Easy to work with. Good features and connectors for the price. The black pcb is nice. My faults: the IO shield came bent. ( but that could have been from shipping). The board itself had material from where I imagine it was cut on the side which can make it hard to fit in cases. This is a what's quality control issue so completely on MSI.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this motherboard, it’s very hard to find anything wrong with it. I have had this motherboard in my custom gaming rig for about two months. Now, I frequently overclock, and this thing absolutely eats! The biggest plus I have about this motherboard is the fact that you can have two M.2 SSDs on it, one is high speed and has a heat sink. You will not regret it

Amazing Deal for a "open box" board! Got it to replace my cheap AM4 motherboard. It looked brand new and still had an SSD heatsink sticker on it. No signs of use, and I haven't had any problems with it. It has great IO, and the RGP is actually decently bright.
