Zoo Med78066 Can O' Cyclops, 3.2 oz

Sadly, I’ve lost quite a few marine fish over the years due to them not eating pellet or flake. Finally learned about this food and my luck has changed. This is super buoyant and stays levitated at all heights in the water column, giving fish time to feed. Big or tiny, new additions or established residents, feast on it all the same. Doesn’t cloud the water and a little goes a long way. Perfect for feeding finicky fish until they accept dried foods and for supplementing dried diet.

The media could not be loaded.  Came in a soupy mixture but you can see the tiny specks in the water. Really really tiny, my goldfish are medium sized for comparison. Perfect for a betta and possibly fry. I’ll have to try that. Nice very tiny little bite sized pieces. Haven’t tried with any other fish yet but I definitely will.Update: worked well for mollies and their fry!! Fat bellies all around. I love this product. It’s harder to find variations of fish food, but this product is a win.

This is my go to product to feed my little fish. It arrives promptly and the first thing i do is pour the can into a large ziplock bag and freeze it. make sure to lay it flat so the goo spreads out in a thin layer. once frozen, i break up the thin sheet into pieces and put it into a small tupperware and store it in the freezer. i then take out small chunks to toss in my aquariums to feed. lasts for months that way. if you use it straight out of the can it wont last long at all, is messy and smelly too. the frozen chunks dissolves pretty rapidly, about 45 seconds and the bits of cyclops float into the water column, that is if my tetras wait long enough for it to melt, they usually attack it . they love it. i can be assured the little mouths get something to eat, not always easy to do with bigger foods like shrimp or pellets and bigger fish outcompeting them. bigger fish also eat em up. it does stink tho so be sure to seal your container betw uses. will order more of this product as long as i have small fish.

I tried this product as a less expensive alternative to Cyclop Eeze. I read in some reviews that people had frozen the opened product in sheets or small cubes to preserve it, but I had a different idea. I spread half of the can's contents evenly onto each of two pieces of unbleached, natural parchment paper and placed the sheets on shelves in my food dehydrator. I dried it for 2 hours at 125 degrees Fahrenheit, then carefully scraped it off the parchment paper with a rubber spatula. The result was a nice combination of flake sized pieces, smaller bits and chunks, and finer, powdery food. I then placed it in a clean, dry recycled glass herb bottle. My fish and corals love this stuff, and in this dried form it is very easy to store and to feed. For feeding, just reconstitute with a little tank water for a few minutes in a small container, then add to tank or target feed as you prefer. A little goes a long way, so go slow and experiment to avoid overfeeding. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you MUST do something to be able to store it long enough to use it all, but the extra effort is worth it.

Love feeding this to my tiny fish. I mistakenly thought this was the freeze dried version of this food and was surprised to find cyclops soup when I peeled back the lid. You're supposed to use the whole can within a week, which is never going to happen for me- I don't have enough fish to eat that much. I put the cyclops in an ice cube tray and froze what I couldn't use in the first few days.

Now that Cyclop-eeze is gone, this is the next best thing out there for feeding small mouthed Plankton feeders like Anthias and small Gobies. My Lyretail Anthias who wasn't eating mysis or brine took to this right away.As another reviewer mentioned, this can spoil quickly before you've used it all so as they mentioned, I froze mine. I spread it out in an even layer on some parchment paper and popped it in the freezer. Once frozen I put the sheets in a freezer bag and will break off chunks as needed.

little can; open and spread out into a 1 qt plastic freezer bag. Lay flat in the freezer. Recommended to put the plastic bag into another plastic bag and into another plastic bag cuz it stinks. My fish love this stuff. Just break off a portion and put into a cup of aquarium water to defrost and then feed. Can't find in my LFS, Petco or Petsmart and all my fish are tiny - corydoras, white clouds, shrimp, and they can all eat it without worrying about anybody choking on big food.

I really like this stuff. My small fish react with way more enthusiasm than with dry food. They love it. All you need is a little corner of the plastic spoon provided and it all disperses into the individual cyclops once it hits the water. Floats around for quite awhile if you have any flow at all. Fish can easily eat all of it before it sinks.

Guppies love this. I put some in the freezer cuz it’s so much it would go bad before I used it all.... fish defiantly love it

will be ordering more for sure . my fish went nuts for it

my fish love this can goodies, the only cons are that it is too much and most of the time goes to waste, so I have been dividing the can right as open into small plastic containers and freezing them, so, I can feed my fish and nothing goes to waste.
