Connects2 Kenwood DMX5020DABS, Black

After returning a pioneer unit of a similar spec which promised lots of features but delivered very little this one is 10 times better. It picks up radio stations that the owner didn't Apple CarPlay works perfectly immediately out the box it has an option for a rear facing camera which I'll probably fit later it doesn't come with a dab cable so be aware of that maybe you need to buy an antenna and also make sure you buy a decent quality Cable for the USB . Other than that if you've used Apple CarPlay before in manufactured spec then this does the job if not better you just plug-in your apps are there if you go your music even starts playing as well which is great couldn't ask for more and the sound qualities is brilliant even on the rubbish standard speakers. Next thing to get some more speakers to complement the sound of this head unit. Overall very happy with the quality it's got a good weight to it it feels well-made the screen is sensitive and responsive the OS is responsive quick through the menus and like I say Apple and android is supported but even has Bluetooth remote remote which is very very rare these days. Avoid the Chinese junk go get one of these

I have dropped one star on this because the box was delivered by Amazon in the manufacturers box- which I don’t have a problem with- however the manufacturer doesn’t put a security seal on the box so anything could have been removed at any point- hence the dropped star. Both stereos arrived the same so it wasn’t just that one was missing. Over all the stereo is good but seems to be a slightly odd size so I had to modify a single din frame to make it fit as a double din frame was too big?! Bit strange. But generally a good stereo.

Pleased with this unit.Fitted in Kia Proceed with dash mount. Nice clear screen. DAB and Android Auto work well.

It took me a while to find the right system for me but it turns out it was worth the search, everything works as it should and was surprised how good the interaction from your phone to the system was when you are taking calls.

Bought this to fit into my 2002 Vauxhall Omega. Bigger than the standard double din stereo so had to modify the mounting holes in the dash. Very simple set up, everything is clearly labelled and very easy. Easy to use as well.Android Car Play makes driving a much nicer experience (I use wired connection most the time which works perfectly, though I do have a £70 wireless Bluetooth adapter for it but I like having a fully charged phone after every trip).The buttons on the side can be a bit annoying, especially the volume ones which get used most (finding the touch screen area to work them can be a pain while driving sometimes, and having to press the screen to go up one volume at a time rather than just holding it or turning a knob is a ballache but connect it to the steering wheel controls as per the stereos owners booklet instructions, and job done.It did go through a phase where it kept freezing and not working properly, happened three times in two weeks. Had to reset it and set it up again each time but it stopped doing that. I don't know why it happened but its stopped and have had months of good use.I will be buying more of those to fit in all of my cars in my collection with double din stereos.

Menu etc good but all extremely hard as a driver. The volume is particularly difficult to operate even as a passenger

I was stuck between Kenwood / Sony and Pioneer. I read. Alot of reviews and this was the final choice and I couldn't be happier. There are so many options to customise the sound to how you want it. I was so impressed with the head unit I went all in and changed all the speakers to Kenwood. Got a Kenwood mono block amp to power 2 X 12" subs.
