Getz/Gilberto 50th Anniversary

Definitely a must have album.

So how can you go wrong buying the CD?!

I am enjoying listening to it during these recent early summer nights on my porch.

I saw a video on YouTube and forgot how much I liked The Girl from Ipanema and it was mentioned that this album had not only that song but two other ones from my past. It's a great CD. Make yourself a lovel meal, drink some wine, relax, light a candle and listen to this CD.

I ordered six CD's - four of the cases were cracked since they were shipped in an envelope and not a box. Be prepared to receive cases that are cracked. The CD's were fine.

I love this album, but I'm having some personal problems with it. For one, their is some strange occurrences in which, for a brief moment, the stereo flip channels for no reason, and then flips back, most notably in The Girl From Ipanema. I've tried importing it into both Windows Media Player and iTunes, to see if it is just an importing accident in iTunes, since I've had a fair amount of those issues before, but seeing as it did the same thing in both programs, I'm near definite it's not and is in fact something with the recording. Apart from that, I have not found any issues with the recording, though it'd be massively appreciated if Amazon could put this into the Amazon Prime Music to auto-rip it, as that would save so many issues of importing it onto a computer.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This entire cd! It's rare (actually never) when I can say that. Besides the sweet walk down memory lane, the calm, relaxing, beautiful songs are a welcome respite from my stress-filled days. I bought it specifically for "The Girl from Ipanema", but am delighted with every track and surprised at how many of them are familiar from years ago.

Great music, with an outstanding interpretaion by saxaphone great Stan Getz. A real musician should listen intensely to these recordings and absorb the rythmns and techniques - masterful!!! ERSJR
