Safe in bottom dishwasher rack?

We do not recommend placing Melamine on the bottom rack of a dishwasher as that is where the heating element is. Melamine will warp with excessive heat

I have put them in the microwave for about a minute and they were fine. Not sure if they are officially microwave safe tho.
