Fresh and delicious
OMG I loved the Li Hing Lui Cherry, this is a treat from my childhood. Actually I used to eat the plum kind but the cherry is better. These are so fresh and seedless it doesn't even compare with what I ate as a kid. They are a bit on the spendy side but totally worth it. I admit I gave them to myself for Xmas and ate about a third of the bag !!!! So heck yeah I will buy more and try not to eat as many at once!! Definetly addicting!

Tastes almost like my childhood
When I was growing up in Hawaii, Li Hing Mui was only one of many sweet and salty treats, generically called "see moi." Occasionally, in Asian grocery stores, I still run into my favorite, called "Sweet sour wet see d" by then-titan of the see moi industry, Yick Lung. (it was later sold to Jade, and changed products.) The only one which lasted past childhood was the familiar li hing mui, now often used as a seasoning as well as the familiar dry and almost-overwhelming plum. The original, however, was almost like this version -- except plum, not cherry, and with lovely little flakes of licorice bark over it. It's wetter than li hing mui, not quite as salty (though still salty enough it should be only an occasional treat for people watching their salt) sweeter by a bit. By "wet," I mean it has the texture of a dr ied prune, or thereabouts, not the very wet, sugar syrup covered see moi you can findindividually wrapped in waxed paper and often given as gifts. That can be quite good, but this is the nearest to the original one bought in 10 cent packs of cellophane with bright yellow wrappers anywhere in Hawaii. The only reason I don;'t give it the very top rating is because I hate imitation sweeteners and this, like all the ones I've found, uses them. Tastes okay, but not quite perfect.

Buyer Beware!
This product did not taste as good as it did in the past. Not sure why but I wanted to let prospective buyers know about the taste difference. Also, please note you cannot return this item even though it appears something is wrong with the product.

I absolutely love these dried cherry!
Taste like Hawaiian Asian flavors if you are in to salt and sweet with chewy texture. Highly recommend this product for any one who loves the cherry sweet and savory chewy taste.

Delicious
My friends introduced me to this product that they first discovered in Hawaii, but it’s getting harder for them to find. They go to Hawaii multiple times a year and if they can’t easily find it then glad to find it sold on Amazon!
