Great matcha for the price
I love this matcha! This is a great high quality matcha and at a low price. The taste is really good and fresh. Vibrant green color! The quantity is good for the price and has the best taste of all the other matcha in this price range. I like that it is organic also.

COLOR, SMELL AND TASTE is off
Update (12/14/18) - The company contacted me and even though the matcha was a sold by a third party through amazon and did not accept refunds, they were pretty nice about it and still managed to give me a full refund. They were very fast responding to my emails. So I changed from 1 stars to 4. I don't give 5 because it is still disappointing to purchase an edible product and get it when it's gone bad (it might only be 1 in a million, I don't know... but can't give the 5 stars) --------- I tried to return it but apparently you can't return this. The color is very weird, it's not bright green as it should be. I've bought matcha from different companies and also when I was in Japan and fresh matcha should be that color but this one is an ugly brownish greenish color, which of course it means this is not fresh matcha. I still gave it a tried and used it for one matcha latte, but the smell and the taste ARE NOT like fresh matcha. Will not buy from this company again

Very high quality for culinary grade
The texture looks good, not clumpy or brownish. I make hot tea by the pitcher for iced tea with it and it wisks into hot water well with little clumping. It is very green when brewed. No complaints, especially considering the price.

nice color, and is very aromatic for a culinary ...
After trying a few different brands of matcha, this will probably be the brand that I'll be sticking with. This brand is very high quality. It has a fresh taste, nice color, and is very aromatic for a culinary grade. As an every day drinker, 1 bag will last me exactly for a month. From my experience, this matcha mixes very well with almond, cashew, coconut, and rice milk. It pairs best with unsweetened coconut milk. The only slight downfall is that this matcha requires vigorous mixing and doesn't always completely blend; despite how finely ground it is. It doesn't really have any measuring instructions or serving sizes on the product packaging so you'll just have to find the best blend yourself. 1tsp Midori Spring matcha, 1tsp stevia, 1tsp agave nectar, 16oz unsweetened coconut milk (or liquid of your choice) is the most reasonable recipe I've found so far. Since it is a culinary grade, it will taste very earthy; somewhat like a mixture of spinach and grass... But this is matcha so it's too be expected. However, unlike other culinary brands this matcha didn't have an overwhelmingly pungent or astringent taste; it actually had no astringent taste while drinking or aftertaste. Thus, it only needed to be lightly sweetened. But if you're used to other 'latte' matcha powders with cane sugar or other fillers and ingredients listed before the actual 'whole green tea leaf' then you definitely won't like this one.

Enjoying this
I have really been enjoying the product, I use it to make breakfast smoothies. I have to be up at 4 a.m. and smoothies really perk me up especially when they contain matcha. I put about 4 tsp of it for a 32 oz smoothie, I get a slight taste of it but can't really tell especially when I put pea protein in them. I'm really satisfied, this is the third matcha I've tried and so far it's my favorite and the price doesn't hurt the wallet so much either.

Taste like tea...but a bit salty
Compared to another matcha that I purchased, I can definitely feel the better quality as soon as I added this one to hot water. There aroma was stronger. The taste however, was a bit salty. I have just started to drink matcha and I don't know much about how to identify whether it's good or bad (or if it should taste salty). However, this was definitely better than the last matcha I tried =D

This is an excellent balance between cost and quality in my opinion
This is an excellent balance between cost and quality in my opinion. You will pay up to twice as much for a comparable product from other manufacturers. I've tried many and I will settle into this one for my twice daily regimen. The ceremonial grade by this manufacturer is a bit smoother, but there is no difference in the health benefits. If you can get used to the taste of the culinary grade, you will save up to 33% off the price and still find an enjoyable product.

Deceivingly great
When I opened up the pack, it definitely didn’t have the same green colour as ceremonial grade, but I wanted to try this to save some money. I was worried given the slight brownish tinge to the colour. I decided to try it straight up, which the matcha isn’t marketed towards, to get the taste of it. The texture is smooth, and the taste has no oxidative bitter or tanniny qualities. It goes down easy and tastes good. I think if you want to consume a higher volume of matcha, this is a pretty solid choice to keep costs down. Order the ceremonial grade stuff for special occasions or when you have company over. This definitely would go well in lattes or baking, but I don’t do that. I just like it straight up and I’m satisfied.

Love Matcha tea
Very pleased with the Matcha powder. It arrived quickly, good packaging and it tastes delicious (haven't tried baking with it...yet) if only it was cheap as chips - but it wouldn't be so special then!

VERY GOOD
This is my favourite culinary grade matcha, great for when you’re looking for a more affordable option, and I’ve repurchased multiple times. The flavour of matcha and aroma stands out nicely for a culinary grade – not too strong and not bitter – just right.
