Beautifully made. Whale tails remind me of our annual fishing trips in Alaska where we see lots of humpbacks.

Just wanted to say, I’ve had this for years and still love it. Cleans super easily and looks nice sitting on the counter. Colors and design look exactly as the picture. Size is perfect for cooking spoons. I am nervous it’s going to break but have kept it intact so far. Highly recommend!

I love that this spoon rest is crafted in the USA. It is easy to see and feel the high quality and craftsmanship. Packing was great, insuring my item arrived undamaged. It's a perfect size and shape for any sort of large spoon. It holds spatulas well too. The octopus design adds some fun to the kitchen, which I really like. The glaze on the pottery makes hand washing a breeze. I recommend it.

My expectations were low for no reason other than that handmade items one can't personally see and handle tend to be less than overwhelming. But my shopping this year was limited to online, and I wanted something handmade from Maine. This pottery spoon rest is absolutely beautiful, artful, and very evocative of the Maine coast. The subtly glowing natural colors simply can't be conveyed in a picture, and the spoon rest is much larger than it appears - large enough to easily hold the biggest spoon that you have used to stir your enormous pot of sauce. It's especially important now to help artists survive the present restrictions, and you won't regret buying any pottery item from this venerable Maine firm - a great gift to yourself or anyone else.
