Unique design that is functional and comfortable to use.
Bought 4 sets (20 Pieces total) on amazon June 2018 (price dropped to $20.42ea), and now reviewing July 2019I have been using the Knork Black Matte Titanium Coated flatware set for a year.I could not be happier. The fork (or Knork) does make easy work of chopping up most foods. With a well done steak you may need a knife and fork. You can however power through a medium rare rib eye with just the fork (knork) and a little elbow grease, I still found myself reaching for the knife and the knife with this set does cut through with ease. Some would prefer to use an actual steak knife if not just for the aesthetics (myself included), these knives will work and server their purpose well if so called upon. The spoons are not awkward feeling in the mouth as some flatware spoons are when eating creamy foods like yogurts or ice creams. They are nice and smooth across the lips with no ruff or sharp edge feeling. All pieces feel really comfortable in the hand and are easy to hold.I have not noticed or have experienced any of the negative issues mentioned in other reviews with regards to the finish of these. The finish is still like new when I first bought them. I do not claim to be the most meticulous type that hand washes things that may or may not be dishwasher safe. I do use the dishwasher to get these clean and they are holding up just fine. What I do NOT doLeave them in the sink over night soaking. There are acids in food that destroy the highest quality of kitchen ware.Do not jam pack them in their respective holding trays in the dishwasher. The mild expansion and contraction from heating and cooling at high pressure points probably could rub the finish wrong. I am not certain of this, but why risk it. The water from the dishwasher should be able to reach all surface areas of your dishes to do its job correctly. If you have to force dishes in to place in the dishwasher, your doing it wrong.I feel that some of the negative reviews are because people are careless and or never learned how to care for things. If you want these to last forever like your fine silverware, treat them with the same respect and they will.As with all flatware, these too are not bullet proof and should not be treated like they are indestructible. The knife is not a flat head screwdriver or box/letter opener. If this set is used for its intended purpose, and with little common sense care, this set should hold up for many many years and possibly could be the last set you need to buy.Final words...Some of us are just guest in our own kitchens. Guests who are given permission, that can be revoked to be in there.I have been given major kudos for finding these from company and the kitchen warden herself. The only complaint I have so far is I only only bought a serving set for 4 and should of done 8 or 12Do I think they are worth the MSRP? NOPE, not even close.Until there is a similar competitor for the design and materials, they will always fetch a premium. Knork also really likes their brand name and you pay dearly for it. Just look at the price of their "plastic" organizer. (yea I will probably spend way too much on that also)Will I buy 4 or 8 more sets? YESYou read me right, YES I would and will even though I think they way are overpriced.I would rather use these than any other set I have ever owned, used or even just held.I really do like them that much. I am sure you will too if you make the plunge to pay the premium price tag.

Probably a pretty biased opinion on why these are so great, why everyone should buy them and what you can expect from them
I love these. I bought one set as my guinea pig awhile back and all the pieces were awesome, so I bought ten more sets and I'm very happy. All of my silverware is now blackware and it is just superb. All-in-all, this flatware is crazy cool and well worth the money. Based on everyone else's reviews, here are all the questions I was able to answer myself once I bought them:1. They are definitely heavier than normal silverware, but they're very sturdy and do not bend.2. The forks are NOT mouth-cutting sharp... some people are saying the fork edges are so sharp they're cutting their tongues/mouths on them. The edges are definitely rounder and thinner than traditional silverware, and you CAN cut through food so much easier, but they're not capable of cutting your mouth while you eat; I guess unless you really stab your gum or tongue by accident. But, seriously, there's just as much a chance of that happening as there is with a normal fork. If one of your main concerns is cutting your mouth with a fork, I humbly suggest you use spoons instead. Otherwise, you should be fine. The knives are pretty sharp, however. Because they're, you know, knives...3. They're not as jet black as they look in the picture. It's black metal, so they're more of a super dark, dark gray, or faded black. Also, they do have a matte finish compared to regular silverware, but they still have a little shine to them.4. It is safe to put them in the dishwasher. I haven't had any problems yet. I've contacted the company before buying anything, and the marketing rep told me they're durable in the washer, but you can always hand wash them if you're afraid they'll get ruined. I'm the queen of ruining things, and they still look FAB, so take my word for it. Just don't use orange or lemon soaps. Also, you have to take into consideration the water in your area. If it's really hard or mineral-rich water, it could wear down the finish faster.5. If you're worried about not being able to return them, or not liking them, I suggest you first contact Knork through their website and talking to them with your concerns. You can buy a sample of a silver salad fork on Knork's website for $5 flat (includes shipping and handling). Also, they sell them on their website and a few other retail stores with good warranties.6. I've noticed they can collect fingerprints. I don't think you would notice it though unless you're looking for it. I've been inspecting and monitoring my test set for weeks, and I've occasionally noticed fingerprints from whoever touched/moved them last. But I don't really care too much about that because they're awesome! If I wasn't so set on having different/fun/cool/interesting flatware, I probably wouldn't have bought these, but I'm so glad I did. Until this moment, I've never realized how significant something so mundane could be until it was black and matte and titanium.

Sturdy, good weight
Good looking silverware set, very sturdy. Bought for the good weight and design. Easy to hold, might be a lil heavy but that's what makes them amazing. No bending here. Only concern is color coming of.

FINISH COMING OFF
I love the look of these, but the finish is coming off of some pieces- mainly the back of the forks. I really thought I had done my due diligence in researching this flatware, but I am very disappointed. I am dealing with Amazon as well as Knork and although Amazon is giving me some consideration, Knork is giving me a litany of things that could cause the finish to come off. The problem is I’ve purchased 6 place settings in the last 9 months. Due to the cost I spread out the financial outlay. I’ve also purchased a 3 piece serving set. I did wash in the dishwasher and never with citrus detergent, as recommended. I believe I took very good care of this flatware. I am still deciding what to do at this point, since I’ve invested in the product. I am really writing this for anyone considering purchasing the matte black, if I had a chance to do over I would not have purchased.

Love the color
Love the color, design and they are well made.....but worrying about what I eat and how I wash them is not what I want with my silverware. Reminds me of sterling silver...
