Compact Digital Version Rice Cooker
This mini cooker is fantastic, I love how small and compact it is. I've been using this for about a month so far and I've only made about 4 things and discovered a few things that I thought I could share with others. ***IT IS ALSO VERY EASY TO CLEAN*** 1. Rice - It cooks rice perfectly, it never spilled from the vent or anything. Make sure you wash the rice first before cooking! Also if you wanted, you can boil 2-3 eggs and it will be fully cooked when the rice is done. You do not have to make any changes when adding the hard boiled eggs, just make rice like you normally would. 2. Mac n Cheese - I use a box of Mac n Cheese from KRAFT and the first time i tried this, a lot of water and starch spilled out the vent. It was a mess to clean! However, I learned you are suppose to only cook the noodles for about 7-10 minutes. So that means you have to keep an eye on it. I believe the reason for this is because of how much water the noodles can absorb as this does not happen when I use regular pasta noodle that is not from a mac n cheese box. 3. Spaghetti Pasta - I can make about 2.5 cups of pasta, adding about 2 1/2 cups of water and throwing in a lot of pasta sauce till I feel is enough all together in one go. In other words, after I add water I also add the sauce too. It does not spill and cooks perfectly. 4. Egg Omelette - Throw in about 2-3 eggs and it cooks fine. However, you might want to add some oil unless you want it sticking to your pot afterwards. It was very hard to clean. Lesson learned, use oil before you make an egg omelette in the rice cooker. Other than that, it turned out fine :D. UPDATE 10/21/2016 5.Hard Boiled Eggs - I use about 2 or 3 eggs, fill the pot with 1/2 or 3/4 amounts of water. You do not have to submerge the eggs into the water entirely, it is okay if some parts of the eggs are sticking out the water. I wait about 20-25 minutes before turning off the rice cooker. Let the eggs cool, peel, and eat :D. UPDATE 3/30/2017 Still working :). UPDATE: 7/14/2017 Still works, not a single problem yet.

Makes really good rice
I bought this small rice cooker and another similarly priced model. This one cooks really good rice. I’m on the vertical diet so fresh rice is something I eat a lot of. This rice cooker leaks a little water from the top of cooking 2 or more cups of rice at once. A quick wipe with a sponge or paper towel takes care of the leakage. This doesn’t happen when cooking one cup or dry rice at a time which is what I do many times a day. It cooks fast and the rice is never burnt. Even the warm function on this model doesn’t seem to burn the rice. The other model I purchased seems sturdier however it always seems to burn the rice. So this one wins in taste. This unit is very small, storage is super easy. I’ve actually purchased 2 of these, one for work and one for home. I haven’t had it long enough to see how long it will last but I’ll just buy another one if it breaks. These electronics don’t last forever unfortunately. The Japanese spend hundreds of dollars for rice cookers that cook really good tasting rice. Save your money and buy this model if you cook mainly for yourself. It’s super easy for my just to put a cup or a cup and a half or rice in, double the water, and push start. The rice is ready in about 20 minutes. The unit is very easy to clean. A quick wipe down is all that’s required.

I just made the perfect pasta salad with this beauty
I'll write more later, but OMG, I just made the perfect pasta salad with this beauty! I put the pasta from a caesar-flavored Suddenly Salad in the pot, shook it so the pasta would settle in tightly, then barely covered it with water. I hit the "White Rice" cycle. When it switched to "Keep Warm," the pasta was perfect al dente! I put it in a big bowl and finished the salad, which was so good. I never have to drain pasta, again! From what I've observed, the "White Rice" cycle cooks at boiling temp until the temp starts rising (water has mostly disappeared). Then it switches to warm. "Brown Rice" cycle does the same thing and goes on for around ten minutes (I need to check)) beyond the time the other cycle would end. "Keep Warm" does just that. Remembering that I'm smarter than any appliance, I'm exploring all the foods I can adapt to this. I love this and use it everyday. It's basically a small saucepan with a tight-fitting lid, surrounded by a sturdy, cool-to-the-touch housing. The handles make it extra portable. You can use this anywhere! The cord is attached, so I don't have to worry about losing it or it accidentally coming unplugged while it's cooking and ruining the texture of the food! There is a "con" to this. It sometimes emits a small amount of liquid out of the top vent. That's what damp sponges are for. Either cook smaller amounts or buy a bigger cooker. I'm a glass-is-half-full kind of guy.

Super easy to use, but with one weird quirk
This size is great for my family's use where we rarely need more than 2 cooked cups. So it's small and efficient, relatively easy to clean and to use. My only gripe is that sometimes it "boils over" and starchy liquid comes out the vent hole at the top. The rice turns out fine but it's a mess to clean. It tends to happen less when I pre-rinse the rice, which honestly doesn't make a big difference to how the rice turns out anyway. Overall strongly recommend because it's small and easy to use. Build quality is OK and won't knock your socks off, but it is good enough for light household use.

Best rice cooker for the single person or one meal
I have another large rice cooker but I never ever eat the cold rice after I place it in the fridge. I am not that picky but next day or days after the rice is simply like sand. So I researched and was surprised to find this rice cooker. It is very simple - easy to use - place a cup or cup and a half of rice, push on then white or brown rice and voila. It cooks enough for one meal - is easy to clean and rice always fresh.. I cook sometimes some rice prior to going to work to have it fresh for lunch. I only place rice, water, salt, pepper and either little olive oil or a slice of butter and nothing else. I highly recommend it to anyone who does not like to eat rice next day from the fridge. BEWARE this is not for a large family, but I placed two cups for me and my son and it came perfectly fine for two people one meal.

i love this product-i wore out the first one and repurchased a second one
im on my second one - i wore the first one out it cooks everything ....even scrambled eggs...white and brown rice come out perfectly...i've tried every kind of rice and they all come out great. so easy to clean! when food is done it beeps to let you know and automatically goes into warmer mode just in case you didn't hear the beep. tips 1. never put the pot back in if wet...needs to be completely dry...the water drips can short it out 2. never put the top back on wet...the water drips can fall around the edge of pot and short it out 3. keep the bottom clear so that there is adequate air flow...do not put on a padded surface 4. after using once, let it cool for 10-15 minutes before using again 5. works great with mini silicone kitchen utensils 6. if you want to cook something with the top off, and the weight of the food is not heavy enough to activate cooking, just lay a banana across the top...it will add weight to the pot and push it down into the element 7. do not force the clips over the top for the lock in seal. instead, make sure the top is on correctly. there is a front and a back to the top. make sure the words FRONT are facing you....then try the clips again. 8. this is not a crock pot - do not turn on and leave for the day. 9. btw, i purchased a mini crock pot - took forever for a can of soup to warm. so much faster to warm up soup in the mini rice cooker. can't say enough nice things about this productn

Coating coming off
The (Teflon?)coating is coming off and getting into the rice. I would like the seller or Amazon to step in and help me out. I’m nervous that I’ve been eating teflon. I’ve only used the plastic spoon to take the rice out. Please confirm this is safe.

Great!!
So love this- just enough for me as I live alone and don’t always eat rice! So cute too. I just wish it also comes on a 220 volts- I had to give this away as I transferred to a fully converted 220 home- it was a sad parting.

worked like a charm - great pasta in sauce
Very pleased with this Aroma Mi rice cooker Wanted a one/two portion cooker of easy meals for convenience and this delivered I made white basmati rice rinsed the rice first - think this is key to avoiding overflow - used one rice cup measuring cup of rice added to inner pot - added lukewarm warm water to the one cup line - put on lid , turned it on and selected white rice about 20 minutes later it was done and switched to keep warm mode rice was perfect ! I have also made chicken in mushroom sauce added to inner pot 1/2 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and an equal amount of water stir well added two boneless skinless fresh chicken breasts put on lid, press start, press white rice button let cook for one cycle note: steam will come out through the vent during cooking but there was no mess just steam going straight up The chicken piece that settled to the bottom was a little browned which was a good thing the chicken was fully cooked and very tender I cooked this directly after cooking rice and didn’t wash the pot in between and it cleaned up very easily and nothing stuck I cooked elbow pasta in spaghetti sauce 1 1/3 cup water 1/2 cup sauce 1 cup elbow pasta I put it all in, stirred well, put the lid on turned it on and pressed white rice and let it do its thing It took over half an hour but that was fine as it gave me time to do other things while it did it’s thing I did not add oil and I did not open and stir periodically Pasta was fully cooked - if you like el dente cook for less time or use thicker pasta Nothing scorched, all the pasta was evenly cooked The pot rinsed clean nothing at all stuck to it For me there wasn’t enough sauce with this “recipe” from the inclosed booklet but I would not suggest adding more to the cooking. When it was done I left it in warm mode and stirred in more sauce and it heated through. Some steam escaped during cooking which is normal but there was no liquid, no mess. I bought the digital version and it does have an on/off button which is excellent so you can leave it plugged in This would be great in a dorm or hotel room Looking forward to trying other things. Chicken thighs in mushroom gravy is next on my list

Great rice cooker
Bought this rice cooker to replace one I bought a few years ago that started peeling it's Teflon coating. So far I am very pleased with this cooker and unlike my previous one, this one does not burn the rice on the bottom. It's a perfect size for me as I live alone and rarely need to make rice for several people. It's easy to use and I like the keep warm feature.
