IR Infrared Power Adapter Remote Control Socket Outlet Switch Plug

It's cheap and ugly, but it works beautifully!!!!Not only is the price right, there really isn't any competition on the market for a device like this. Almost all other products out there are RF controlled – which really are a pain in the ass because you need to always use their particular RF remotes to use them. (Yet more remotes to have to keep track of and cluttering your home!) With this product you can use absolutely any IR remote to turn on or off any electrical device!.One thing about this device though, it does not come with instructions. But it's very easy to use.To program it, just follow these six steps:1. Plug this product into an outlet.2. Press the black button on this product once to turn it on. A red light will come on.3. Then press and hold the button. As soon you press the button the light will immediately turn off, don't let that throw you off. Keep pressing it the button until the light turns back on.4. At that point let the button go.5. When you let go, it will then start flashing.6. Then grab the IR remote you want to have control this device.7. While pointing your IR remote at this product, press the button on your IR remote which you want to have turn this product on & off. (NOTE: you have a few seconds to do this.)You have now programmed this product to turn on or off whatever electrical device you plug into it.To clear all programmed commands on this product:1. Have this product plugged in and turned off.2. Press the button and hold it until the light comes on.3. Keep holding it until the light turns off. The commands should now be cleared.Also, it's a good idea to clear this product's programmed buttons before adding programming any alternate commands into it.This is a great little device – too bad there isn't a company that makes a bit higher quality one for us use.
