Hayward AXV621DAT Pool Vac A-Frame/Turbine Kit

It was shipped in a timely manner. I have used this product before so I am familiar with it. The instructions were clear and adequate. The parts looked to be quality and OEM. The price was much better than going to a local pool store like Leslies - where the managers and employees act like they are doing YOU the favor to even be there. Incidentally - I have used the old standard Hayward navigator pool vac for many years as well as a couple of other brands. The Hayward may or may not nbe the absolute best gadget for the job - but it does do a pretty good job. The parts are all plastcic - so they do wear out even if 'lubricated' by the water. When a unit has had a few years of service and a new set of 'feet' or 'wings' doesn't make it travel any faster - as like when it was new - it is time to do an A-frame kit replacement. In most cases it will restore the performance to like when it was new

First, Amazon was half the price of the local pool store. When I was untangling the hose every morning before work I felt the bearings were wearing down. Sure enough they were. There are bearings that move the rockers/legs and another set that move the turbine. Both were shot. First I replaced the legs, wings and pads (also from Amazon at half the price). Things worked well for a month or two and then I found a screw in the filter. It was from the bracket that held the rocker bearings (for lack of a better description). So after installnig all the parts in this kit, things are working great. Do be aware however you will need to completely disassemble the unit. About the only piece not included in this set is a little red piece you will encounter when you get at the turbine bearings. Simple to put back in, just recall where it came from. Great product and good savings!

I installed a non OEM kit two years ago that had several parts fail. This is a Hayward OEM kit that corrected the problems. Although slightly more expensive than the generic one, it's worth it. Parts fit like they're supposed to and it was pretty easy to install, even if your not mechanically inclined. The instructions for removal of the old mechanism and installation of the new parts were easy to understand but make sure you follow them in proper sequence. Total time for the project was under an hour.

Everything fit perfectly in my Hayward BLU vacume. Mac (my wife's nickname for him from the Jetson's) has not worked this well for a few years. He is running around like brand new. Easy to install, just keep track of left and right sides. I highly recomend it.

After years of hard work, my Hayward Navigator was barely moving. The best thing about the Hayward is that it's extremely simple to work on with just a screw driver. I decided to get mine back in tip top shape. I started with a new gear box (AXV408P) plus this kit (AXV621DAT). That got mine moving again. I thought I should probably also replace the wings and feet (AXV414604WHP) because mine were showing wear. I also opted for new legs (AXV417WHP). That got my Hayward moving forward but it wasn't turning around at the end of the pool. I decided to replace the top gears (AXV079VP). My very top cone gear looked OK and probably didn't need to be replaced but I found an Amazon Warehouse deal for $17 so I ordered it (AXV070) and a new bushing for the top cone (AXV306). With all that I have my pool robot back up and running. It took a bit of effort to figure out what to order so I'll post this review for each of the kits I've ordered and hopefully help somebody else.

If you own a Hayward pool cleaner you will realize like the rest of us that about once a year it will need some set of parts to keep it running at top performance. I call this the "Knees, feet and toes" of the Hayward song. Are these parts designed to wear out, certainly. That's what happens with mechanical parts. I buy all my replacement parts from Amazon as the pool supply places charge outrageous markups on the same exact brand parts that you buy here. I have bought this kit numerous times for my pool over the years and those for my rental homes. I see absolutely no reason to donate 20 to 40% upcharge for the ability to go to a store locally and buy parts that are already expensive. I have NEVER had an issue with any of the genuine replacement parts bought on Amazon and I have been super pleased with the reasonable price. Replace the A-Frame takes all of about 10 minutes if you just pay attention to the directions; I can do this in my sleep now. If your Navigator is not walking like it used to, knees feet and toes... Remember to replace the wings and feet as well, another kit around $10. They will wear out once a year.

I wasn't sure what was wrong with my Navigator as it seemed to be cleaning the same spot all the time and not moving about the pool. It's the original unit, 12 years old with only the feet having been replaced, so I took a chance on this kit after researching the problem online. It arrived a day earlier than promised, was easy to replace (it came with an instruction sheet), and it fit my unit perfectly. Best of all this kit saved me from having to buy a new unit. The old Navigator has new life and is working properly, cleaning the pool again. Highly recommend this seller.

I repaired my Hayward lady Bug last fall and the Vacuum worked perfectly all summer. Fantastic Kit, keeping a good product going longer.

On my second Hayward vac. Threw the first one out without thinking of trying to repair it. When second one started to go watched a few YouTube videos, bought parts on Amazon and unit works good as new. Easy fix. 1/10th. The cost of a new one!!
