Assam Black Tea – 4 oz – USDA Certified Organic Loose Leaf – OU Kosher – Ideal For Brewing Kombucha

This tea makes incredible kombucha. It has a very good flavor.

I recently purchased a Pampered Chef Tea Steeper & Dispenser (see Great Lakes Chef on their website) and wanted a decent cup of Pu-Ehr tea. I purchased Pu-Ehr tea from our local health food store, only to discover that the tea leaves comprised about 60% of the content, with the remaining 40% being crushed to a fine dust, even finer than you would find in a tea bag! So I carefully researched the Fermentaholics Organic Pu-Ehr tea, and found this product far exceeded any expectations I would have for a mail-ordered product. The bag itself is aluminized, thick, and resealable. The tea within was of a generous quantity, smelled wonderful, and brewed into to beautiful, slightly sweet, smoky taste I am familiar with. This tea was still producing decent brew strength after the third pot of water! I highly recommend this product as a really good representation of Pu-Ehr tea. And I applaud the wonderful tea leaves (see photo above) and the decent product this company has produced!

Love your tea, can brew it strong but it's still smooth.

My son enjoys the taste and only wants to use this for our homemade kombucha.

I had never tried oolong tea before but I had have fermentaholics chamomile and like that tea. So that's why I gave this one a try and I'm not surprised, I like it!

I bought this for making tea, not kombucha. This is the best gunpowder green tea I've yet bought. It has a wholeseome, natural, yet strong, astringent taste, with slight smokyness. It's different and way better than most teabag green teas. And at the moment, the price is very decent (around $12.50 for 113g), you get a lot for the money.

Good quality and taste

Tasted more or less like other dragonwell tea leaves with very light flower fragrance, leaves are small and fractured, also with a thin film on top of hot water after brewing, suggested it wasn't well made, but with kind of contamination, must be filtered. not worth vs pricing @ $16.99 for 2 oz, same cost can get much better tea leaves.
