I work in corporate finance and was tired of spending hundreds of dollars a year on dry cleaning. Dropping it off, picking it up, and finding a reliable place in the area that won't put holes in your clothes or lose your stuff was also a hassle. I searched around Amazon and google until I found the Dryel kit and am so happy I did! I have been using these kits for over 5 years now and they are a life saver. So convenient to use from home and produce a nice result. Each kit comes with a bag, cloths, a stain pen, and a wrinkle release spray bottle. The pen works pretty well to get out small stains and is a nice touch that they add it into the kit. It will not work for deep stains though, you'll need to use something more powerful. They sell replacement cloths when you run out since you can use many cloths per bag and then also replacement bags once you need a new one. I typically just use water once the wrinkle release spray bottle runs out until I get a brand new kit. This gives your clothes a nice fresh smell and look. If the piece of clothing is really dirty this will not wash it, it is for clothes that need a refresh. Perfect for blazer, blouses, suits, khakis, sports jerseys, coats, etc. One bag can hold about 5 things in it depending on the size. The bag has a line on it that shows you where to stop filling it. Once the clothes are done (you just stick the bag in the dryer with a cloth, the box comes with instructions) make sure you take them out immediately and hang them up. Leaving them sitting in the dryer will result in wrinkles. The cloth smell is light but nice. It is not overpowering or like a perfume, it more just smells like fresh clothes. I really love this product, it solved a big money and time problem I was experiencing in corporate America! It has never damaged any of my clothes. 5 starts for sure highly recommend!

For many years, Dryel has been my go-to for cleaning my work (and fancy) clothes (I work in an office setting - therefore my clothes don't have a high level of need for deep cleaning) that aren't appropriate for traditional washer / dryer, but don't require specialized cleaning. This product is easy-to-use, works well, and is a good value for the monies paid. (Note: Please read the information prior to use, as not all fabric types can be cleaned with Dryel.)

I returned this particular package - not because I couldn't use it, but because I located some similar Dryel that I bought a while ago. This package included a Dryel bag, stain remover spray (the stuff you get in a starter pack) and a LOT of dry cleaner sheets. I've used Dryel before - unlike the Woolite dry cleaner sheets, the Dryel are designed so the sheet stays inside the bag (a large bag that you put the clothes into). Dryel claims that steam (the sheet's vapors?) cleans the clothes inside the bag. In my test on jeans, I had some stuff on one of my jeans. The Dryel sheets did NOT remove the stuff. Dryel will clean your clothes, but only if they don't have stuff that only washing will remove. If the clothes need water to remove them, the Dryel sheets will probably not work. (In fairness, the spray that is included in the package may handle some of the stuff - pre-cleaning with a wet rag to get stuff off your clothes before cleaning may be all that's necessary to have clean clothes). These sheets have a scent - not too strong, and not very annoying to sensitive noses (like mine), but it takes a while for the smell to dissipate. I haven't tried Dryel to clean pillows, although I expect that they will do a very good job. I doubt that I'll use them for cleaning pillows because I don't know how long the smell will last, and I don't want to lay on a 'stinky' pillow. Overall, for most clothes - especially those that just need refreshing, this Dryel system should work fine. Plus - for the money (you can do a pretty large load of clothes with each sheet), the price is good - especially compared to dry cleaners - and it's a lot faster than using a clothes washer.

The product worked well with how I used it. I think you have to adjust the use according to how soiled the clothes are and to the thickness and to the amount of fabric in each garment. For example, the 'dry clean only' clothes that I used the Dryel for had been worn and then kept a long time without having been dry cleaned, but they didn't have any stains. I used one cloth for two heavy wool, lined, men's suit blazers and one cloth for three medium weight wool skirts. The clothes came out great. The product exceeded my expectations.

Thrilled that this product is available via Amazon. No grocery stores in my area carry it now. It really saves my family a lot of money on dry cleaning bills! Use it for sweaters and pants. Been using this product for almost 20 years. Highly recommend! Smell can be a tad strong. Twenty to 30 minutes in the dryer. No need to drive to local dry cleaner. Saves time and gas.

I have tried every type of wool or cashmere sweater cleaning system & this is the only one that is EASY TO USE & really WORKS! When this product first came out, I was really skeptical, but I also wanted to avoid having to hand wash sweaters every time I wore them & the expense of constantly going to the dry cleaners. After trying it out, I was shocked at how refreshed the sweaters were & how well the stain treater worked on cuffs & other stains. I hate to admit this, but I even tried it on a Versace suit! While wearing the suit at a wedding reception, someone dropped a glass of white wine on the patio, which splashed up my pant leg. I immediately tried to soak up the wine from the fabric, but what can you do at an event like that? I assumed that the pants would be destroyed! On top of that, the fiber content had little metallic fibers throughout the fine wool fabric. After hanging in my closet for well over a YEAR, I decided to try the stain treater on the wine stain (which had even begun to show signs of RUST!!). It seemed to work to remove the stain, but until it dried completely, I had no way of knowing. Once dried, VOILA. PERFECT!! Dryel works so well on cleaning my favorite sweaters, that I began to use it on all of my sweaters before putting them away for the year. Ever since I started doing that, I haven't had any more issues with moths in my stored clothing. YAY!! I will NEVER use another product again. This product is quite the miracle for sweaters & wool clothing!

As a person who suffers from fragrance issues, I was delighted to find a product that was scent free. The info on Amazon advertises dryel at-home dry-cleaner as unscented, but the very first ingredient on it's label is Hexyl Cinnamal a naturally occurring and synthetic scent ingredient​. Hexyl Cinnamal is known to be associated with allergic reactions and as such, has a high concern rating for allergies and immunotoxicity​. For individuals with allergies, even small doses of this ingredient can trigger skin reactions such as redness, hives, itching, or eczema within 24 to 72 hours. Even for susceptible skin, a dose below the limit of 0.01 percent can cause a reaction. Once a contact allergy is established, it is not curable, and the allergenic substance should be avoided in the future​​. The ingredient is also advised to be avoided by asthmatics and people with hyperreactive (hypersensitive) airway issues​​. There are also concerns about Hexyl Cinnamal potentially causing cancer although that risk isn't definitively established. You can imagine my disappointment. I am not willing to take the risk and am returning the package unopened.
