4 stars because it is a good product, but it's 2 to 3x or even 4x the price it is in Japan.

This works. But getting it on and off the futon is a miserable experience for one person and a difficult experience for two people. I've been doing it for a year or so (twin size). I'd rather just use a queen size sheet and wrap it around my futon.Also, it gets stained really easily. Oil stains from my face oil? I don't know. But oil stains. And they don't come out in my wash (to be fair I don't really care and I haven't tried anything other than normal washing to get them out).But it does exactly what it says it will do. It zips over your futon.

I bought this to go with my Fuli futon mattress. Although it takes some work, the mattress fits well into it. The quality is good and it feels great sleeping on it. I just felt this cover is overpriced.

Great on functionality, and the zipper is good quality. However, the material is not the best, and it is not the most comfortable.

These covers are very expensive for what they are, but I needed them for my Fuli futon. They are not preshrunk and even though I was careful to wash them in cold water and hang-dry, the futon stopped fitting perfectly after the first wash (see the reviews with pictures of slight protruding bumps for examples). I keep the futon folded up during the day and the bump isn’t noticeable when you lie on it, so it’s OK for now. Nevertheless, I’m going to look for other options.

I like rougher fabrics normally, but the thread count is a little lower than I'd like. I also don't recommend get the zipper version, putting it on and taking it off is a hassle. I have a Queen sized shiki buton and its hard to maneuver the entire mattress into, essentially, a fabric envelope. The zipper version does look nicer if you fold up your mattress everyday.

Anyone else? I also didn’t have any trouble getting it over the futon I’m not sure why everyone else is? I recommend sliding it in corner to corner. Easy peasy. Not sure if the extra seam is a defect bc it doesn’t make any sense??

Ordered the dark grey and regret it. I can’t believe that it’s already noticeably discoloured after 2 washes. I followed instructions and did not tumble dry, zero bleach, and used hypoallergenic baby detergent with zero colouring.For $140 it’s honestly sad. Avoid this, or at least avoid the Dark Grey.I am so discouraged because I love my futon and tatami mat and paid a lot for the set.
