About me - Been lifting for 10+ yrs, 210lbs+, ~15% bodyfat.Previous favorite intra - Scivation Xtend.About this product - The 'proprietary blend' concept of BSN has always been a bummer but their products work. Amazing flavors, can't rank bc I keep juggling btw them. You'll never be disappointed with BSN's flavors, yes they do have a LOT of artificial sweeteners and colors but given how much I love their flavors and that sodium bicarbonate effervescence I'm ok with letting it slip.Effectiveness - You need to set your expectation straight. This is an intra workout drink, you are not gonna feel that caffeine rush nor skin tearing pumps. That said, this keeps you hydrated, motivated, less tiresome, ready to hit that next set of ass to ground squats.Dosage - Being a proprietary blend it's hard to say how much of what is in it. But never rely on an pre/intra/post workout supplement. I take 2 scoops during workout and it does seem to keep my pumped and happy.Should you buy it ? - If you can afford it then YES.Do you need it ? - Not really, not unless you are in a calorie deficit or have those demonic workout sessions over 1.5 hours, cranking steel at at-least an avg of 120 bpm.

Best taste, I love the grape flavor as it tastes like Fanta grape soda. It’s good for muscle recovery, getting your vitamin D intakes and so much more. I always bought from BSN since 2014 so I recommend this flavor and brand to everyone. The quality is amazing and it keeps you hydrated as well. The size doesn’t matter to me as they have a bigger tub to buy but for beginners this is the best size to start off first. As for health benefits, I would say it’s good for your kidneys, skin, hair, muscle building and etc as it has vitamin D.

I like it. I used different brands until this BSN Amino X. Some were good and some were just so so. I like this one more on the taste and the results. I go to the gym everyday before swimming. So I need Amino Acid. Not sugar. Quality is perfect.

Great Product. Flavor is fine, but I have been most impressed with the very noticeable results. I am not really a hardcore "gym guy". I just work out regularly. I noticed someone pouring a sample of this product into to bottle at the gym and asked about it. She gave me a sample and I used it right then (towards the end of my workout). This happened to be a very hard workout day for me, a day on which I usually suffer very noticeable muscle fatigue when I am done. This time I honestly did not! My muscles were still tired, but not that achey fatigue. I have used these aminos after every workout since, going on a year now. I decided not to even shop around for other brands because I had already found one that worked.

I get really bad DOMS in my legs whenever I do squats. Like really bad. It usually kicks in full about 36 hours after my workout and lasts for at least 3 days. I get very mild DOMS everywhere else, only my hips/thighs are affected adversely. Sitting down or standing up (chair, couch, etc) requires the use of both arms and a lot of grunting. After my last leg day I was so sore for 4 days that I was seriously considering cutting way back on squats or eliminating them all together. I did some research online and saw that BCAAs can help and figured it was worth a try. I've tried almost every supplement under the sun and believe the vast majority of them are snake oil so I was very skeptical about trying BCAAs.I did my regular leg day (including squats) on a Wed afternoon, including doing higher weight and more sets than I did the previous leg day that left me sore for 3 days. This product arrived on Thurs afternoon just as I was beginning to feel the effects of DOMS in my legs. I was worried that my weekend was going to be spent shuffling around like an old man. So I opened this package and took a dose in the evening. I woke up this AM and after taking my regular hot shower realized not only did my legs not hurt worse than when I went to sleep, they actually felt better. Not 100% normal, but better than when I went to sleep. I took another half dose this morning (Fri) and am now typing this at noon and can say my legs feel 100% normal. No pain, no soreness, no tightness, no DOMS.I am well aware of the placebo effect and how it works. But I do not believe for a second that it could have this much of an impact on me physiologically. My legs feel completely normal 48 hours after a leg workout. That has never happened in my entire life. I've done more leg days than I could possibly even attempt to count and I've always been significantly impacted 48 hours after a normal (not light) leg day.I'm a convert and will continue to use this until I see a different results.Oh and the watermelon flavor tastes just like a Jolly Rancher of the same flavor. It does contain an artificial sweetener, which I wish it did not, but you cannot have everything. The flavor was excellent, just a slight artificial sweetener after taste, and it dissolved easily in a cup of water. It does foam up a little before it settles down too.If anything changes (good or bad) I will update this review.Update Dec 2020 - I tried a different brand recently and boy was that a mistake. The flavor was horrible. So I switched back to this brand and can say the flavor is great.

I’ve tried dozens of aminos and keep coming back to this brand. This brand by far dissolves the easiest, tastes the best and doesn’t dye my mouth disgusting colors.While Im sure I’ve fallen victim to the placebo effect on some health products, I actually do feel like this one contributes to a faster workout recovery and immune protection. I drink this consistently throughout the winter and find that I’m more resistant to the sicknesses that go around the office.Favorite flavors: Watermelon, blue raspberry and tropicalLeast favorite: fruit punch (I’ve tried all the flavors and this one is the least appealing of the bunch... it has a very noticeable chemical aftertaste in my opinion)

At the age of 35, my body has been feeling sore after hitting the gym 4x a week & running anywhere from 10-30 miles a week. I was looking for something to help with energy boosts but also something that’ll help my body recover faster. This product seemed to help with both. Overall, it’s a great product. Tastes good and does what is advertised. I’ll consider buying again once I need a refill.
