Even when I try other products, I return to this set. The leave-in is hands-down the best I’ve ever used and the shampoo cleanses perfectly without irritating my sensitive skin. Leave-in - Pros: concentrated and can be diluted easily , brushes through damp hair easily, moisturizes, softens, defrizzes, pairs well with any gels ot styling creams I’ve tried without stickiness or residue, works especially well with the KC custard, no coconut oil or shea butter, moisturizing without stickiness or residue, pleasant sweet fragrance dissipates to a subtle level when dry, fragrance layers well with most other fragranced products, works as rinse out conditioner, as a rinse out I think it would work for almost any hair type and as a leave-in it would work for most hair types with some wave or curl or that are coarser and dry. Fine haired folks might try diluting it with warm water 1:1 in a cup and adding only to dry ends. - Cons: none Shampoo: cleanses well and removes product buildup (I use it as a clarifying shampoo every 3-4 wash days). Cleans scalp gently without dryness or sensitivity, pleasant light citrus fragrance pairs nicely with sweet fragrance of Knot Today and CC, concentrated (1/8 tsp lathers through my high density medium width shoulder length waves) , rinses clean without stripping hair, works for all hair types - Cons: might be a bit too cleansing for daily use if you have delicate dry hair, but it’s still an excellent shampoo. Both: Pros: fair price, easy to use packaging, vegan, cruelty-free, sensitive skin friendly no coconut oil (does have coconut alkaline ingredients, but they have a very low allergy risk comparatively)

I go to aqua classes, and I need a chelating shampoo. This one has a natural chelating agent called phytic acid that removes hard water minerals, salt, chlorine in addition to dirt or product residue. It's more than a clarifying shampoo although it would work for that, too. I love it. The citrusy fragrance is fantastic. The conditioner is just as good! It is really good for all hair types, and works as a leave in, a rinse-out conditioner, or a detangler. It is particularly good for curly hair and won't weigh your hair down. My hair is wavy, but it is short now, so I could probably use most any shampoo and conditioner, but I can't give this up. It's well liked by curly guys and girls with a range of curl types. Read about it on Mestiza Muse. She's a genius with hair products for curly hair. I think the marshmallow root is the star of the show. Something about it is a bit of a miracle worker. You don't need much of the conditioner.

i have thick, low porosity hair, and both the leave in and shampoo are amazing for it!! i use the shampoo as a clarifying shampoo bc it's very drying on my hair, but with the leave in and my conditioner (amika hydro rush) it's perfect afterwards + until my next wash day :D

I've been on the "curly girl method" journey for a few months so I've come to have low expectations for everything. But I might stick with this find for a while (which says a lot). For reference, I have 2a-2c mixed wavy hair. Yes, it's legit curly in some places and almost straight in others and honestly I've just had to accept this over time. It tends to frizz and lay flat, limp, and lifeless. The shampoo is good. Yes, it's drying if you use too much. But it gets all the gel out of my hair (I use a lot!). I don't shampoo every day so drying is not an issue. The conditioner is the real winner. Real soft and slick. I think the two products complement each other well. Also worth noting: neither has a strong fragrance. I still need to deep condition every so often but I'll always do so. I've noticed a change just after a week. Hair is softer. Curls more even and defined. And since it's lightweight (when used as just a normal conditioner) it actually has more "bounce". I personally think it's pricey but since it's so hard to find stuff that works for me I'll use this until I find something better. Wavy heads will probably like this. Can't speak for others. came in well packaged, already tried it and my scalp felt very clean and the conditioner made my hair nicely soft, will buy again

I’ve tried a lot of curly hair products, but the Kinky Curly Knot Today + Come Clean Shampoo Combo Set is my mainstay. I always come back to them! The shampoo feels clarifying yet doesn’t leave my hair feeling stripped, which I love. When I use these products in combination with Kinky Curly Curl Custard, I get the most amazing results—my curls are defined and soft. Even if I just wash, condition, and go, I still have beautiful mermaid waves and curls. Highly recommend this combo for anyone with wavy-curly hair!

Das Shampoo reinigt ganz sanft - kann man also wenn man wie ich fettigere Kopfhaut hat auch öfter nutzen! Und in Kombination mit der Cream ist es eine tolle Mischung für feines Haar - also wie meins. Meinen haaren darf ich nicht zu schwere Produkte beifügen - da passt diese Kombi sehr gut zu mir!

It is not greasy at all, so you can use it multiple times during the week for your LOC method. I have 4c hair that tends to need considerable efforts to be managed, and I truly recommend this set!

I have small tight rebellious curly hair and this products help to maintain my curls and detangled my hair after washing. Enough moisture but not greasy.
