RMS Incontinence Chair Pad - Washable & Reusable Seat Protector & Bed Pad (Tan)

I bought a few of these to put protect my husband's reclining chair, because he has Parkinson's and is partially incontinent. It's soft on top, absorbs moisture and has a protective backing so the moisture doesn't go through to the chair. I've never had one fail. It's easy to machine wash and dry so they can be re-used. I also bought some cheaper, thinner pads (different brand) and they were okay for using a few hours in a pinch, but these can be used for a couple of days before changing them. These are more expensive but are of a much higher quality, so they're worth it to me.

I have ordered these for the last couple of years for use in a power recliner, wheelchair, and front passenger seat with my 95 year old mother-in-law. I recently bought more not because the older ones needed replacement yet, but I just needed more in the laundry rotation due to her severe incontinence! They look so much better than disposable "chuks", wash well, dry quickly. Also, the older ones have been washed many, many times in an Assisted Living facility laundry, and we have experienced very little fading and no unraveled seams. Practically bulletproof! EDIT: Well, really a request. Please add BLACK and SAGE GREEN to your color choices. Recently, I have been forced to buy black (to match wheelchair cushion) and a sage green (to match another recliner) from two different vendors, and they are both terrible. Thin, poorly finished, much lesser quality, and dubious dependability. Give us more color choices, RMS, or perhaps take out some of the outdated colors and replace them with more modern colors like black, sage, or even grey.

These match all my couch & chair covers and have meant I don’t have to remove them every time there is a human or k-9 pee, twat spot, food in lap spill, or dog bike bath from congestive heart failure. I have a mostly nude household with 2 young women and dark furniture. Where they are old enough now to understand why I used to sit on a towel of just wear panties, sometimes they forget and I admit I would get frustrated having to strip my entire couch cover for a twat spot the size of 2 quarters. I don’t have this issue now. As a side bonus, when my dog started declining in health these meant I could still enjoy him sitting next to me on the couch (easier to pet him), but if he coughed up lung fluid or in coughing leaked a little pee (or I leaked a little per when I had bronchitis for 3 months) it was super easy to toss in the washer and no one else noticed I had a stack of them in a basket next to the couch. It meant, without speaking I could grab the one that had liquid on it (absorbed well without leaking) and put a fresh one down without anyone noticing. They launder well too and are soft enough that even if I do go nude and sit, it just feels like soft smooth cottonish fabric.

Just got it. Looks like good quality, but it hasn't been challenged or laundered yet. So I can only give 4 stars, but will change my rating if it proves itself to work and be durable.

Affordable solution to a sensitive situation. i received the blue one i ordered, a few days ago. It's an ample size, soft [not stiff], quilted, and is comfy to sit on. It doesn't have that 'crinkling' sound that one often hears when sitting on waterproof items. A big plus is that it is machine washable AND dryable. The choice of colors is ideal - and the size makes it nice to place atop a wheelchair (21" x22") [if the user's safety permits] - wheelchair seats can be cold! It's a nice waterproof/absorbent/quilted chair pad for any room. (If you have a mud room, and kids come in from the rain or snow - it's ideal to place on a chair to avoid the chair from getting wet from their clothing). i'll soon be ordering another one for use in the car. The style and design are such that it could go on any household sofa, chair, etc., and not be an eyesore. RMS must have been mindful of decor, etc., - function, washability, furniture/seat protector - without sacrificing eye appeal or making the pads look "medical.".

I bought a recliner and I wanted to protect the seat with this pad. Matches the fabric color. Comfortable and doesn’t slide around. Already washed and dried twice. Stays flat, no bunching up. Recommend.

These are nice soft, easy to use chair pads. Wash well. Thick and fit our chairs perfectly. Wash really good and get softer with each wash. Bought 2!

This is a great seat protector, well-made, I've only washed it once so far but looks like it will last a while. American made, good quality. I use it on a senior's rocking chair cushion, makes it much easier to keep the seat clean.

I purchased this product because I sweat a lot and we got nice new light blue chairs at work and I didn't want to leave sweat stains on it! I figured why not get two - a blue one for work, a brown one for home and boy am I glad I did. These are great - I no longer feel stressed out if I go somewhere and have to sit on light colored chairs. Yes, if I go to a friend's place, I bring it with me just in case. Contrary to feeling embarrassed like I thought I would, they appreciate my consideration and then ask.."where did you get that?". I'm really happy with this purchase!

Good qauility and nicely sized. Has held up well to a wash.

I bought one, loved it so much I bought another, and another! Still waiting for my fourth one. They wash vey well and don't look like a typical 'pee' pad, and I have soaked many!
