I wrap a cleaner in a circle around an ink pen and cut off making 4 round filters for my Falcon Pipe. These seem to absorb the goop just fine and they don't change the flavor. I have used one with alcohol and it cleaned just fine.

Tough to actually rate something so simple. But these are exactly what you expect from a good pipe cleaner. Also a very good deal. Go get some if you need pipe cleaners, you’ll be happy you did.

They do the job
I always used this type pipe cleaner but last time switched to the kind with the little bristles. I found the bristle ones won't go through some of my pipes, so I bought these again for a double-pronged attack. Yes, you may get a bit of fuzz off of them.
