Handcrafted in the USA from our upcycled leather scraps, leather washers are eminently practical and useful hardware. Our washers come in four colors to match our products. Use leather washers for mounting fenders or racks, or as replacement washers for our bicycle u-lock holsters and mud flaps. They are great for a quiet, non-lubricated, smooth, flexible, reliable spacer for moving parts. On bicycles, leather washers are great for dampening vibration and silencing rattles, and can be used in many places: between the fender and the fork crown, the seat stay bridge, the chain stay bridge, and between the fender and racks mounted to the fender. They also can lessen the likelihood of stress cracks on aluminum fenders, and reduce noise from pebbles and twigs bouncing into the fenders. Our leather washers also add a beautiful touch in place of the metal washers in our leather drawer pull collection. Ours are made by hand in our workshop from hand-dyed vegetable-tanned leather from American reared and tanned leather, using scraps of leather leftover from making our other products. Fully upcycled!
