Low impact solution
These worked as advertised. I don't know about pull strength but I assume it will be adequate to hold down my fabric car shelter. I will say all 8 I put in didn't seem to have the same strength potential based on how the asphalt and substrate was at that spot. For example, the grout seemed to run away down the hole in some cases, and not accept too much in others. As a rule I'd say use as many anchors as you can to spread the load and don't assume 1500 lbs each. That's probably an ideal case number. Also don't put them closer to each other or to the edge of a pad because asphalt is weak. Guessing, I'd say no closer than 3" hole edge to edge, and more than that is safer. The great thing about this system is it's pretty easy to install, and when done it just adds a flush flange to your blacktop. Nothing in the way if you decide to remove the structure in the future.

Amazing
Awesome. These worked so well, ordered low temp epoxy direct to apply during winter. Big fan, will use these again.

Great product
Worked great when fastening 4x4 post brackets for a lean-to shed on top of an asphalt surface

Good Product, Instructions Not So Good
I am installing a backup generator and built a pad for the generator from pressure treated lumber. It sits on a corner of an asphalt driveway, which is on a slight slope. So, I bought these anchors to secure the pad to the asphalt (see picture). The anchors themselves are very high quality, so no concerns. I read all the instructions carefully and viewed the online videos. However, these are the issues I encountered as a first time user: 1. The amount of grout really is not adequate. One bag per 2 anchors is not enough unless you have drilled a perfectly sized hole. I used my Bosch hammer drill and 7/8" bit to drill a 6" deep hole. However, it is almost impossible not to ovalize the hole somewhat in the process of being sure the anchor will fit. I used all four anchors, but probably had too little grout for the 4th anchor. But the generator pad is very small and 2 anchors would have been adequate, so I am not concerned. It is probably a lot safer to buy the anchors separately and buy the larger plastic tub or grout (about $17) to ensure you have enough grout. 2. The instructions said to slowly add 1/2 cup water to the grout bag, which I did. But it ended up being way too thin, close to watery. So I mixed both bags together for a single batch and used an additional 1/4 cup of water to get the right consistency. 3. Hydrating the grout in the supplied plastic bag is a really dumb idea. It is very easy to make a mess of things and it is hard to judge the consistency. It is much better to put the dry grout mix in a 1 quart plastic container and use a stirrer to blend the water to get to the right consistency. It is also far easier to pour the grout mix from a flexible plastic container compared to plastic bag and to get all the mixed grout into the hole.

Don't mix grout in bag!
I've installed 8 of these, so far so good. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT adding water to grout bag, but put water in a container (a bit less than suggested) and ADD the powder to the water, stirring constantly (I used a paint stick which worked well). Much easier to control and get correct consistency... in the bag it's hard to mix smoothly and determine if you got all the dry stuff in the mix. Add powder to water not water to powder (you can add more water if needed, a LITTLE at a time)

Worked as described
I used this product to bolt a sign post base to asphalt. Very simple to use and has been holding well for several weeks. I expect this to last as long as the asphalt.

Inaccurate instructions and beware if you get it wrong..
Instructions are for 1/2 cup of water, which was way too little. Too much water, and it's wasted. If you mess up, then you'll be spending more on the bags. Not going to do that, find another epoxy that works with anchors. Overpricesd

It was easier to use compared to typical permanent asphalt anchors where you have to tape really hard. Clear instructions.
