This is the best knife i have used for roofing it has a great wide hadle for total control of the knife even cutting thru those nice frozen shingles to cut your edge or valleys,ect. If you are a roofer you will not be disappointed at all in this purchase.

I had previously purchased this item last year and it worked great for about a month and then the screw that holds knife together wore out so it cant even hold a blade anymore. I liked it so much i wanted another one, so i decided to purchase it again and rest assured the same exact problem but this time i didnt even get to even you use the knife or close it!!! Very disappointing unfortunately

When I started putting on my new roof, I quickly tired of cutting the shingles with a standard Stanley knife with a hook blade. So I purchased this one from Amazon, and received it in two days. Made cutting all the shingles easier on the hands, no slipping with the bigger body, and angle of the knife. My hands didn't hurt after using it for hours.

Hands down the best knife you could want to have when doing roofing. Although the screw that holds it together will strip out sooner or later and render useless. If you were easy on it and do not over tighten it when using it it may last longer. Other than that is extremely durable and saved my knuckles more times than I can count.

Used the knife while replacing the roof. I started using the plastic case that it came with, wich was very convenient to use, before I started just stuffing it into a side pocket of my tool belt. The blades are easy to change out with gloves on. Just spin the wheel, split the knife in half, there's a spot inside for reserve blades, and replace the blade! I'd recommend for roofing for sure.
